I thought Walk Hard was great. And it gets better on further watching. Pineapple Express is an aquired taste. I thought James Franco did a great job. I didn’t see GG Jr. with a huge chip on his should anywhere!

I loved Idiocracy and that’s another film that gets funnier each time you see it. If that’s the future of hooking, I might sign up for it! Easy money, no sweat, literally.

Has anyone seen Mike Judge’s newest animated show? The Goode Family? It’s pretty good and the commentary about environmentally correct people and the way they shop…I think this might be another classic in the making.

Still, Office Space RULES!! And you can’t go wrong with Gary Cole no way no how. I thought that he was good in Pineapple Express.

Love Jason Batemen. I can’t wait to see this new movie. He has an understated delivery that’s just hilarious and age has only improved him.

You want to see Kunis looking oh so fine you need to watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I guess that 70′s garb was covering it all up! I love her now! Between her and Kristen Bell the hero made the right choice in that flick!

The Apatow/Rogen crew movies are at least funny, compared to the Farrelly Bros/Ben Stiller/Will Ferrell shitfests we were used to before.

I’m not really sure – maybe it’s to test the waters before they go for a wider distribution? If it doesn’t do well, they don’t bother? A sense of exclusivity for the cities where it DOES open?

It just seems that over the last couple of years every other comedy out there is either a Judd Apatow or Seth Rogen film, or a combination of the two.

But yea, I didn’t think it was possible to like Pineapple Express and not think Step Brothers was hilarious, and there’s already non-Apatow comedies coming out and killing it, like The Hangover and Bruno.

You know what Vic, after your April Fool’s Joke about that Monotone-clown, Idiocracy IS prophecy! Good thing we’ll be too old to deal with it and let our offspring handle the nonsense.

Here is one thing about the ‘Apatow’ style, I hear everyone say that the dude is a comedic genius but he has said it countless times in his commentary that the best/funniest parts of all his films are when he lets the actors do improv with the material! Then he jokes about how he takes all the credit, which is great when you think about it. I got no problem with the guy but you can differentiate the films that are successful when he lets his actors go off the script and to those that stay with it.

yes thank goodness. I liked a lot of Apatow or “Apatow style” stuff but there’s just been too many of his movies saturating the market as of late with the same actors over and over again. I’m getting tired of the style and Seth Rogen for that matter.

This looks like a refreshing change. JK Simmons? He’s awesome. Bateman? I’m down for this.
