Lionsgate has unveiled a new banner for their end-of-summer testosterone fest The Expendables, which features most of the movie’s cast of action stars, former professional wrestlers, and all-around bad boys of Hollywood.

Thanks to AICN, we also have a new action-packed TV spot that showcases the tough guys in action for you to check out as well.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Expendables for those not yet in the know:

THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator.  Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal.  With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge – one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.

That band of brothers will includes Expendables director Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crows, and Steven Austin.  Action movie megastars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis will both make a cameo appearance in the film as well.

You can see all these gents – along with Willis, surprisingly – together in the new movie banner below:

Additionally, a new TV spot for The Expendables is set to premiere during the broadcast of the UFC Fight in Vegas between Quinton Jackson (B.A. Baracus in The A-Team) and Rashad Evans this weekend.

But why wait until then to get your fix of brawny men punching one another, firing machine guns, blowing stuff up, and even finding time for the occasional one-liner?  You can have a look at the new clip right here and now instead:

Despite their glaring absence from the tough guy promo campaign, there WILL in fact be a few established actresses appearing in The Expendables. Actress Giselle Itié will appear as Sandra, who – judging by the official Expendables trailer – will be the “innocent” mentioned in the film’s synopsis.  Also making brief appearances in the film will be TV star Charisma Carpenter (Buffy, the Vampire Slayer) and the recently deceased Brittany Murphy (Sin City).

So what do you think?  Does The Expendables look like a rockin’ good time?  Sound off in the comments section below.

The Expendables will hit theaters in the U.S. on August 13, 2010.
