  1. Hey guys. Havent listened to the show yet, I was wondering if you guys knew or had heard just why Victor Ortiz was cast in this movie? Did ye hear about any other boxers who turned them down? Cos thats the only reason I can think of.

    • As Kofi would say “it is all about the demographics”… though in this case, we can just LOL at all their demographic ideas…

  2. B.O.B.
#1 Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
    #2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    #3 Guardians of the Galaxy
    #4 If I Stay
#5 When the Game Stands Tall
    #10 The Hundred-Foot Journey

  3. I can’t get with Kofi saying Let’s Be Cops should’ve been VOD. I doubt it would’ve made the $50 mil or whatever it’ll make in theaters on VOD. Even with the marketing, it’s still probably gonna come out ahead in theaters.

    • Let’s Be Cops ended up outselling The Expendables 3… with an R-rating. Wow!

  4. I have to admire you guys at SR. Really sitting through so many terrible movies…. Taking notes….. And then discussing them at length afterwards.

I’m lucky. If I accidentally catch a bad movie, I can walk out….. And forget the whole experience as soon as possible.

  5. Let’s Be Cops is the first movie I’ve walked out of in years. I thought I’d give it a chance because I love ‘The Girl Next Door’ and didn’t think Luke Greenfield could make a movie THAT bad. How wrong I was. I think I made it 45 minutes or so. Once it got to the point where they just started slapping each other over and over I was literally like, “I’m out!” Expendables 3 was also terrible and makes the first two look like Oscar material. Seriously disappointing weekend at the movies. I really hope Sin City 2 delivers.

    • Cheers! Thanks for sending that link along.

  6. Did I hear Kofi say that Martin Lawrence was in the Klumps? All black comedians in fat suits don’t look alike! Sheesh, I thought Ben was the racist one. ;)

    • Kofi hates blacks. You heard it here first. :D

  7. 1. Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
    2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
    3. Guardians of the Galaxy
    4. If I Stay
    5. Let’s Be Cops
    10. Lucy

  8. Could someone at the site please take the picture of “The Expendables 3″ off the front page? Seriously, anything else. If I have to look at those dried up raisins for another day I might click on the review… please, don’t make me. I still have a shred of dignity left.

  9. Someone in this podcast used the term “norms” to describe what i guess is everyone not on the podcast. Not completely sure what you think the term means but damn you sounded like a tool.

  10. “Norms” is an in-joke we sometimes use. It refers to the general population of people who aren’t film journalists and have normal, non-warped views of films and TV because they aren’t swimming in it 24/7 as a profession. It’s more about us being weird than it is an insult to anybody else.

In any event “Juggy,” I was using it ironically. Not really concerned if I sounded “Tooly” or not. It had the desired effect: you noticed.

  11. Thanks for answering a couple of my questions guys (Supermax on Arrow/Infinity Gauntlet) I’d really like if Arrow built towards something like Supermax, because I’m just about done with season 1, so far it feels like 1/2 Batman begins 1/2 soap opera, which is semi tolerable but I’m hoping for better based on what I’ve heard many people raving about it.

I finally got around to seeing Expendables with my dad last night, and I found myself laughing at it for all the wrong reasons. Im a Rousey fan but almost all of her lines were cringeworthy, and the entire young crew were all pretty pointless. I liked Antonio Banderas, I’m not sure what Snipes was trying to do… I loved that they were fighting the Army from Assmanistan?? can they not come up with better fake country names? haha

Your guy’s idea that Michael Bay should do the next expendables movie was the best thing i’ve ever heard! Stallone needs to just act, and be as far away from writing story/casting etc. because he has shown that he is inept at such things. Too bad I doubt he would do such a thing unless the best expendables characters teamed up with Optimus and the rest of the autobots. Seeing Sly and Optimus try to have a conversation would be priceless! The expendables plane could become a transformer, and a new team member, and Hasbro would have a bunch of new musclebound toys to sell to kids, everybody wins!
