Considering The Expendables scored $274 million worldwide, the sequel snagged $305 million of its own and there’s a third film on the way, it makes sense Millennium Films would want to expand the franchise. However, now that they’ve got just about every big-name male hero in the mix, it’s time to tap into a new pool of potential elite mercenaries, the most badass female action stars in the business.

When news first broke that Millennium was putting together a female version of The Expendables called The ExpendaBelles, names like Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale, Milla Jovovich, Gina Carano, Uma Thurman, Sigourney Weaver, Geena Davis, Jennifer Garner, Michelle Yeho, Brigitte Nielsen and Pam Grier were all in the mix. However, when producer Adi Shankar revealed the ladies that were in talks to star as of late October, that list was whittled down to Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz and Jovovich.

Clearly that’s a solid start, but for those of you who’ve seen Death Proof, Whip It or anything from her enormous stunt work resume, you know Zoe Bell is an absolute must and, sure enough, back in December, she revealed to Crave Online that she has met with the folks in charge for a role in the film. While talking to Bell about her upcoming release Raze, we got the chance to ask her about her involvement in ExpendaBelles ourselves and she confirmed that nothing’s been locked in yet – but she’s got some ideas of her own.

While the filmmakers behind ExpendaBelles continue to eye Bell for a role in the film, they should also consider the expert stunt star as a casting director too because if Bell had her choice of female action stars to fill the roster, ExpendaBelles would be one heck of a film.

When asked to divulge her dream team, Bell went with:

“Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey, Michelle Rodriguez just cause I think she’s like – she is one of those people that just is a bit of a shit-kicker. I feel like in real life she is kind of cool and tough and sexy all at once. I don’t feel like she’s being someone else when she’s doing it. And then I decided I’d bring back Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver… and me!”

Now the question is, are the Expendables men allowed to come and play, too? Bell gave them the OK.

“Oh, I don’t know. Why not? They can have a little moment.”

But, when we suggested keeping things separate so eventually The Expendables and The ExpendaBelles could come together in an epic crossover movie, Bell was all for that option, too, but then admitted the idea made her think.

“I’m pondering now. I’m like, or, they do whatever they want and I’ll make my own one.”

No matter what writers Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith do with this narrative, Bell should be part of this movie. She’s proven time and time again that she’s one of the best stuntwomen in the business and the more she scores speaking roles, the more she’s proving that she’s got some serious acting chops – and loads of charisma, too.

Check out the clip of Bell discussing the possibilities for The ExpendaBelles below and keep an eye out for our full interview with the Raze star coming later this week.
