This season 1 DVD package has every episode that aired plus 2 episodes that you didn’t see on TV.

UPDATE 7/8/09: Our readers have alerted us to an issue with the foxstore link for the DVD.
People are reporting that the connection to order the DVD’s is not a secure connection, but rather an open connection to the ordering site over the web.
Neither does the phone number provided at the link above allow you to call in and order the product.
This leads us to believe that the information you provide for the order goes over the open web in an unsecure fashion, possibly leaving your information vulnerable to outside sources.
Personally, I would never provide my information to a website that does not provide a secure SSL connection.
We thought you should be aware and if we hear differently, we will apprise you of it.

The foxstore site the you order the DVD/Blu-Ray from is not secure! It doesn’t use SSL (https) and there is no way to order via phone or Fax. Any credit card information you send is completely in the clear and wide open for interception. Tech support seems to be unconcerned. You may want to avoid until/if they come to their senses and implement this most basic security feature.
BUT GANG, they do indicate if you know someone who is going, you can designate them…
( no, i’m not offering, just saying.)

I called the number and they said they could not accept orders via the phone or via fax. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I did get a call back within half an hour. However, she said that her network techs told her that they were using SSL on their backend servers. Of course, they HAVE to use SSL to communicate with the credit card processing companies to verify your credit card information. They are still not securing the submission of information from the client (us) and their (fox) web site. Here is a link regarding the difference between http and https

I got another call from Fox. They said that the site would go to https when you submit. I therefore entered correct looking, but fictitious data. It validated the credit card number as declined, but the URL never changed to https. I think the lady I have been speaking to has been fed a line by the network staff that is not true. Does anyone else think this is a good place to submit your full name, email, postal address, credit card number, expiration date, credit card security code, and phone number?
If you go to their foxstore.com and try to buy anything else on their site, you get a normal add to basket and then proceed to checkout which gives a URL like this:

I think the network people just got lazy and didn’t set this up properly, after all it’s only 5000 copies….
Is there any content difference between this SE and the one your pre-order from amazon? shiny numbered packaging isn’t much of a selling point to me.

I continue to correspond with foxshop@mailca.custhelp.com with no luck so far. I’m getting the standard reply that their website is secure. I notice that since yesterday afternoon that they have only sold 4 DVD sets and no Blu-Ray sets. Current available count DVD – 2073 and Blu-Ray – 2214.
Have you tried explaining to them how different folks are having way different results than their expectations?
I’m presuming you have valiantly tried to make them see that light. They are poorly programmed dolls!
