Personally I really liked Death proof and I am a male. The reason is simple all of those inane conversations inevitably to one of the best endings and a great car chase. Not to mention that a lot quentin movies (if not all) revolve around a lot of worse movies that were made before. I love the way he will take some really bad movies and create something so much better, complete evolution of the genre. So mwahh!!!1

I have to say I’m a QT fan, but the dialogue was trite this time around, and rather pissed me off. Didn’t care much for these characters this time around except for Rosario and the awesome Stuntwoman.

Marina, maybe it IS because you’re female that you didn’t mind the long, interminable conversations. I notice that my wife and her friends tend to talk in a meandering non-sequiter style, albeit at a more intelligent level and without the 30 f-bombs per minute.

Aghast! I actually liked “Death Proof” more than “Planet Terror” and I don’t consider myself anywhere near the high-brow movie goer territory. Maybe it’s because I’m a girl, not sure, but I’d love to see the longer version.
