The cast of Eternals recently broke down the upcoming Marvel Studios film in just 60 seconds. Marketing for the Chloé Zhao-directed flick continues as its release nears. While there are no more trailers on the docket, Disney is now appealing to casual moviegoers to check the project through its latest promotional video.

The upcoming MCU film will debut a whole new slate of superheroes known as the Eternals. Created by the Celestials, they were sent to Earth thousands of years ago to protect people from the Deviants. Marvel Studios assembled a star-studded cast for the movie with Angelina Jolie as Thena, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Gemma Chan as Sersi, and Barry Keoghan as Druig. Given its massive ensemble, it's interesting how Zhao ensures that each character is given their time under the spotlight. Fortunately, it seems like the team's chemistry is great making team-ups enjoyable and compelling as seen in a new marketing video for the movie.

In the clip shared by the official Eternals Twitter account, the cast takes turns running down the premise of the movie in a mere 60 seconds. They start from the very beginning, including how and why their characters were sent to Earth in the first place. Apparently, the team decides to break up due to some disagreements, but they now have to re-assemble after the Deviants re-emerge. Check out the video below:

While a lot of these details have already been known, there are a couple of interesting new tidbits that are revealed in the clip. For starters, Nanjiani mentions the involvement of the Infinity Stones in the film's ancient time frame. There really hasn't been a lot of talk about the elemental crystals factoring in the Eternals narrative, because some assumed that they're no longer relevant. But, in hindsight, it makes sense because the Celestial Eson the Searcher once wielded the Power Stone in the original Guardians of the Galaxy. Another intriguing moment in the video above involves the snippet of the Eternals' break-up, with Druig seemingly walking away from his teammates.

As with most Marvel Studios movies, Eternals' backbone will expectedly be its characters. Looking at this ensemble cast, they seem to genuinely enjoy spending time with each other, so it would be interesting to see how that translates on the screen as they play their respective roles. It is difficult to gauge how the movie's ending will pan out, but after their initial introduction, expect to see more of them in future MCU storytelling.
