Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger attended the International Comic-Con in San Diego back in 2012, where they answered fan questions and promoted The Expendables 2 at the film’s panel (with a few of their muscly costars in tow). This year, the duo will make another appearance at the Con, albeit this time for a special screening of their upcoming team-up flick Escape Plan.

Summit Entertainment is holding a fan screening for Escape Plan at the Reading Cinemas Gaslamp 15 in San Diego on Thursday, July 18th next week. Comic-Con attendees will be able to get tickets through online giveaways, at the Summit booth on the convention floor, and at 5:00 p.m. outside the theater when a fan line opens up to welcome Stallone and Schwarzenegger for their arrival on the red carpet.

Here is the official synopsis for Escape Plan, followed by the trailer:

In the October 18 release, one of the world’s foremost authorities on structural security agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called “The Tomb.” Deceived and wrongly imprisoned, Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) must recruit fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to help devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape from the most protected and fortified prison ever built.

Escape Plan opens in U.S. theaters on October 18th, 2013.

  1. I hope this film is good with Stallone and Schwarzenegger like the Expendables films were with those two.
