The latest banners for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have hit the web for your viewing pleasure, along with the official movie poster for this year’s August horror release, Piranha 3D.
Theaters around the U.S. will be jam-packed with diehard Twilight lovers next Wednesday at midnight, when Eclipse makes its way into theaters. It’s been less than eight months since Bella, Edward, and Jacob last graced the big screen in New Moon, but fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to see the gloomy trio’s love triangle become all the more complicated by an impending battle between the werewolves and vampires.
Hopefully, director David Slade (30 Days of Night) will deliver the goods – lest he find himself being hunted down by a vengeful mob of Twilight types, armed with pitchforks and torches.
You can have at look at the new UK Twilight banners – which are just as broodingly dark as the last batch of Eclipse posters – below:
A different breed of monster – one more likely to chomp on your flesh than suck your blood and stare broodingly at you – will attack theaters at the end of this summer in Piranha 3D. The aquatic creature horror flick stars Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, and Jaws survivor Richard Dreyfuss.
In case you were curious, here is the official description:
Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break; a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there’s something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents.
I’m not the only one who thinks of the 3D killer fish movie scene from The Muppets Take Manhattan every time this film is mentioned, am I? Because unless the screenings of Piranha 3D also feature boomerang fish flying out at the audience then there’s no way this movie can live up to my expectations.
