I’m glad he didn’t like the movie Twilight because it was BUTCHERED by Hardwicke. He will do an excellent job with Eclipse!

Already it’s better because a professional is working on it.

twilight is awsum! i wudnt be suprised if eclipse turns out a complete disaster! tsk tsk they cudnt find sumone more decent to direct it? i do have to agree that if twilight was directed by someone else rather than hardwick it might have turned out better shes gay

i’d do it just for the money, because i bet it’s alot.
i’ve actually seen lots of articles and interviews where actors and directors will state they have made “hollywood movies” to get the chance to make “passion projects” (aka, i sold out, because the money is good, i’m sure i’ll make a good movie later).
at least this might be a well made movie despite it’s source material.

When I heard Slade signed up for the Twilight sequel, I didn’t know what to think. The guy had made two good flicks, Hard Candy and 30 Days, and since I despise Twilight, I brushed it off and just sort of ignored the fact that he’d rather work on tween vampires than the 30 days sequel.

But now I’ve lost a lot of respect for him. If he hates Twilight so much, why would he sign up to direct the sequel. Is it really just for the money?

I wonder, does anyone realize that in this photo Slade is flagging “the finger” here on both hands, (the british version of it anyway). Personally, I think it’s a bit offensive … I hope it isn’t an indication of what he feels about Eclipse or Twilight fans. I’d like to think he just inadvertently used the backward peace sign but, I have to think that since he is from the UK he fully understands what message he is sending.
