Robert Downey Jr. and Zack Galifianakis are not necessarily two actors that I would think to pair together in a road trip comedy. Despite the two being fantastic comedic performers, their respective styles of comedy are quite different from one another, so putting them together didn't strike me as a good match at first.

However, after seeing the first Due Date teaser trailer, any and all apprehensions I had about this comedy duo died. The two had great comedic chemistry, with Downey's sarcasm and wit perfectly complementing Galifianakis' physical slapstick and over-the-top mannerisms.

With this latest international trailer for Due Date nothing has changed as the comedy (from The Hangover director, Todd Phillips) still looks funny as ever in my opinion.

Check out the new trailer below and see what you think:

Admittedly the odd-pair road trip comedy isn't exactly the most original idea in the world, but I'm more than willing to overlook a clichéd premise to enjoy the combined talents of Downey Jr. and Galifianakis. This film as gets my good faith because it comes from Todd Phillips, who delivered one of the funniest movies of the last few years with The Hangover - a movie that I think will be looked back on in 30 years time the way we look at films like Airplane and Blazing Saddles.

Not all of the jokes in the Due Date international trailer hit the mark as intended, but most of them do. I can only hope that they haven't shown all the best parts too early (as is unfortunately the case with most trailers for comedies these days) - but with the people involved I suspect that there will be a lot of really funny jokes still left to laugh at in the actual movie.

Due Date arrives in theaters on November 5th, 2010.
