Drive Angry 3D Red Band TV trailer Drive Angry 3D Red Band TV Spot

Hollywood’s finest will be donning elegant gowns and spiffy tuxedos to attend the 2011 Oscars ceremony on Feburary 27th. So why shouldn’t everyone else celebrate the event that weekend by instead checking out the latest R-Rated, Nicolas-Cage-is-a-madman thrill ride, Drive Angry 3D?

The previously-released international trailer and TV spots did a commendable job of offering a G-Rated glimpse at Cage’s new B-movie – and now there’s a red band television preview that includes some very NSFW footage from the exploitive action pic.

Here’s an official description of the setup for Drive Angry 3D:

“Drive Angry” stars Cage as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out [from Hell] for one last chance at redemption. Hell bent on stopping a vicious cult of fanatics who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice his infant granddaughter beneath a full moon. Milton must use his anger to go beyond all human limits in order to save his last connection with humanity.

Joining Cage for the ride is Amber Heard as Piper, an attractive waitress who enjoys strutting around in Daisy Dukes and kicking a** (does she word it like that on her CV?); William Fichtner (The Dark Knight) as “The Accountant,” the Devil’s right-hand man; and Billy Burke as Jonah King, the charming leader of the bloodthirsty cult that’s prepping to murder Milton’s granddaughter.

Those of you who watched the adults-only clip released from Drive Angry 3D a few weeks ago probably suspected that was just the tip of the iceberg – in terms of what the movie has to offer. Going off the new red band TV spot alone… you were correct.

Most of the action in Drive Angry 3D will truly come alive when seen in the third dimension on the big screen. The film looks to throw axes, bullets, guns, exploding vehicles, gore, blood, shattered glass, truck tankers, and whatever else director Patrick Lussier decided was worth lugging out at the camera. But isn’t that exactly what everyone who goes to see the movie expeects (and more importantly wants) anyway?

Drive Angry 3D arrives in theaters later this month on February 25th.

  1. this looks like a fun film i will check it out i think

  2. Nicholas Cage taking names thats not horrible looking like Bangkok Dangerous + hot Amber Heard also taking names? Yeah I’m in.

  3. that voice over makes me laugh always saying for new movies “A 3D movie event of the Year” LOL

  4. How do I enter my birthday?? I’m so confused. It only lets me type four numbers and I have no idea how to make it recognized I’ve entered it. The text that says “submit” is not click-able. It makes me do the same thing for every site that has this trailer and I really wanna see it!

    • you have to do it month date year like this 18 28 1988 had me baffles for a couple of min lol

      • 18 months in a year: that’s a great internet connection you’re getting on Mars there, bigd! :-P

Oddly, I’ve watched this on two other sites as well, and I wasn’t asked to type anything in on any of them.

        • Lmao I think I had a brain fart when I wrote that :P

  5. This movie does look fun.

  6. This looks awesome definitely watching this :)

  7. This looks absolutely horrible… I hate nick cage how does he still have a job?

    • Fenix,

I think that’s kind of the point of the movie. It’s supposed to be over the top.

  8. Heheh, good one :)
I don’t think I will see this though as this is not my kind of movie, you know :)

  9. haha love the beggining, looks awesome!

  10. I would watch Amber Heard watch grass grow. She could bring back silent movies because she is a visual delight that no words can describe.

  11. yes shes hot but shes not too great of an actress. I can go to the gym and see hot girls… I watch movies to see people who can ACT. And yes I understand that this movie is supposed to be over the top but I enjoy plenty of over the top movies I just think this one will be particularly bad mostly bc of the two leads…
