dredd 3d contest SR Giveaway Win A Dredd 3D Prize Pack

Judgement is coming to theaters on September 21, when Dredd 3D hit theaters nationwide. To celebrate the most famed and feared Judge, Judge Dredd, Screen Rant is giving away two prize packs, to help you keep the law on your side.

The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One – a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge — a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.

About Dredd 3D:

During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan. When they capture one of the clan’s inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound’s control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire. With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.

The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and director Pete Travis bring Dredd to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film. Filmed in 3D with stunning slow motion photography sequences, the film returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra’s revered comic strip.

  1. Looking forward to seeing this movie, Karl Urban is a pretty good actor in my opinion. :-)

    • hope you saw the movie

  2. Here’s hoping ‘Dredd’ makes enough at the worldwide box-office to get a sequel, I would think it would need to make between $90m-$100m at least in order for a sequel to be a viable proposition…

If it does hit that amount, and a sequel is given the greenlight, I would hope they get a decent budget of about $55m (3-D cost included), bypass the Cursed Earth/Origins sequel idea, and go straight for the Dark Judges storyline they have in mind… let’s face it, Dredd squaring off against Judge Death and his grisly pals is the ‘Judge Dredd’ film EVERYONE wants to see, so if they get a sequel, just go for broke and give us the JD movie we’ve fantasized about all these years!

    • 100% Agree. I hope this does well.. And that Sylvester movie will then be a distant fuzzy memory…

  3. What a crappy prize pack. What do these completely terrible horror films have anything to do with Dredd? How about Dredd comics, or Awesome Karl Urban movies. I mean, if you’re gonna go out and pick three blu ray dvds for a prize pack, could you have picked three more random and unrelated? Pathfinder, Star Trek, Doom, The Chronicles of Riddick. Those are all better choices. I’d even take Stallone’s Dredd on DVD! But, who cares about crappy horror movies. It’s okay, I still think you’re the best Screen Rant!!!
