While season 5 of Dexter may not feature a Trinity Killer-esque "big bad" for Mr. Morgan to stalk, the season has still managed to throw several heart-pouning moments our way.

Dexter's first ritual kill of the season, Boyd Fowler, showcased the return of mini "big bads" (similar to what we saw in season 2 and 3) - which has, so far, been a nice change of pace.

Considering the shocking final minutes of last week's episode of Dexter, this week's episode, "Beauty and the Beast" will have the anti-hero serial killer scrambling to protect his identity - without violating Harry's code. Complicating matters is Quinn's rogue investigation of Dexter following the aftermath of the Trinity Killer.

Preview (courtesy of Showtime):

"Dexter catches a mysterious woman who may have witnessed him in the act of killing a killer; Deb has a frightening run-in with a murder suspect in the Santa Muerte homicides; and Quinn uncovers more striking similarities between Kyle Butler and Dexter Morgan."
