About 13 years ago I saw the old ride and I loved it then. It was the Universal Studios signature ride and I certainly had a nostalgic appreciation for it. Today I went on the new King Kong ride and I kid you not, it was completely insane. Totally blows the old one out of the water, hands down. It is EXTREMELY immersive! It really puts the spectator in the thick of it, great suspension of disbelieve. You LITERALLY get "drooled" and "breathed" on. When the lights came on the stunned audience was clapping and whooing- never seen that done for any ride. If you get the chance go check it out, by the end of it you won't miss the old ride as much.

You know if they had a Wild Mouse like ride that had the robot above placed so that it lit up and revealed just before your car turned, on top of that throw it in a P.Jackson inspired Space Mountain -- That would be a good ride.

I agree they should have a moving ride similar to "Expedition Everest" at Disney World's Animal Kingdom. They just need to replace the yeti with Kong and there ya go. I hate the Nickeloden ride at Universal Orlando and the Shrek one isn't much better. I don't want to sit down and watch a screen in a crazy massage chair. I do like The Mummy ride at Universal Orlando though, so if it's similar to that I think they may have a good plan. I'm guessing it'll be similar to the Earthquake ride (which now has a different name I think), but they say 3D so hopefully it'll be like the Spider-Man ride? That is one of the coolest rides I've ever been on! Truly spectacular!

It seems cool but its all 3D. I like 3D rides dont get me wrong but i miss real rides. Build a Kong have it attack the tram or somthing like that, i dont want a "ride" to be me watching a film wile an air bag moves me around. When i went on the new ride in annimal kingdom they have a HUGE robot yeti swing down at you, it looked so real scared me to death. build a kong like that, build a real ride, not an intereactive movie clip.

I loved the Universal Studios Orlando ride, which was shut down a few years back to bring in the Mummy ride. Will it come back there?

To the Samuel Goldwyn theatre at the crack of dawn, where Anne Hathaway and Academy president Tom Sherak read out this year's Oscar nominations . gucciwell.com Our hosts roll up with minimum fanfare and then retreat in haste,

I have been on the original ride, it was awesome, and this new one doesnt exactly sound fantastic to me. Especially as it it based on The Great Adapter's version of the film.
It always makes me laugh that a movie made in the 30's inspires more awe and wonder than a movie made a few years ago with a massive budget, goes to show that they dont make 'em like they used to!
