Destiny 2 features an immense amount of powerful weapons for players to choose from, for any particular purpose they have need of. Whether it's throwing down PvP action in the Crucible, completing PvE activities such as Strikes, or a bit of both in Gambit, there is certainly a weapon for every game mode and every type of player. One of Destiny 2's stronger features are the Exotic Class weapons, weapons that (in most cases) have fixed perks and additional abilities that set them apart from others in their weapon type.

Better yet, many of the Exotic weapons have the chance to be fitted with a Catalyst, something that permanently enhances how the weapon performs. Each Catalyst is unique to the weapon they help, but much like the weapons themselves players have to put in some quality hours in order to receive and unlock most Catalysts. Furthermore, Destiny 2 fans know that unlocking a Catalyst can take a whole gaming session, sometimes even a few. This is typically the case for weapons like Sweet Business and its Catalyst, but an easy farm method allows players to Masterwork this item quickly.

Destiny 2: How to Unlock Sweet Business and Complete the Catalyst (Quickly)

Sweet Business is an Exotic Automatic Rifle in Destiny 2, obtainable through Xur or random world Exotic Engram drops. An Automatic Rifle that is more accurate when firing from the hip, Sweet Business's Intrinsic Trait "Payday" gives it this ability, a larger magazine (150 rounds), and picking up primary ammo automatically reloads the weapon. It's a great redbar-clearing weapon in close-to-mid range, especially when the Automatic Rifle Ammo Finder mod is equipped. Unfortunately, unlocking the Catalyst could take some time as it is a random world drop.

At first glance, completing the Catalyst for Sweet Business is kind of intimidating. There aren't too many activities in Destiny 2 that allow players to rapidly kill four or more enemies for a multikill, let alone spots that offer this on repeat completion for 250 total multikills. Thankfully, the Altars of Sorrow activity on the Moon provides players with everything they need. Once players have unlocked the Catalyst, they should take their Sweet Business to this activity.

The Altars of Sorrow is an activity where players must defeat a certain number of Nightmare enemies per tier, leading all the way up to a Tier VI completion. The Nightmare enemies will be attempting to perform a ritual by sacrificing themselves into one of the altars, and it's up to players to stop this performance. Accompanied by the Nightmares are endless waves of Destiny 2's redbars, weak enough for any Guardian to easily defeat with their Sweet Business.

Additionally, the event is timed based and the time allowed to finish can be increased for every redbar killed by 1-second. It can also be restarted at any point if players fail to complete the objective. The best strategy to take advantage of these endless spawning redbars is to focus on the lower-level enemies and defeat them as they spawn in. Each time a player reaches the multikill threshold for the Catalyst, the counter for the Catalyst increases with each additional kill.

  • Four rapid kills in a single attempt will grant one level of completion
  • Five rapid kills in a single attempt will grant two levels of completion
  • Six rapid kills in a single attempt will grant three levels of completion
  • Seven rapid kills in a single attempt will grant four levels of completion, etc

This cycle can be repeated as many times as players choose to take advantage of it. The Tier II Altar of Sorrows seems to be the easiest Tier to take advantage of, as this round spawns plenty of Hive Thralls. It can get challenging as other players come to the activity attempting to complete it or farm the activity for themselves, but it's feasible to complete the Sweet Business Catalyst in this method within 45 minutes to an hour - a significantly easier grind than most other Catalysts allow for in Destiny 2.
