The Edge of Action Glaive is a new Exotic weapon that Titan players can craft in Destiny 2, making it one of the first weapons to be class-exclusive in The Witch Queen expansion. In addition to being a class-based weapon, Glaives are a new type of weapon overall in Destiny 2 that includes two Legendary and three Exotic types altogether. While Titan players have access to the Edge of Action, Hunters and Warlocks can get and use the Edge of Concurrence and Edge of Intent, respectively.

The new Edge of Action Glaive is only available for players that have access to The Witch Queen expansion's weapon crafting mechanic in the Enclave. Unfortunately, players who do not have this Destiny 2 expansion cannot craft any of the Glaives, nor can they craft any of the other types of weapon patterns in the Enclave. Although the Legendary Enigma Glaive is the first weapon that can be crafted in Destiny 2, the Edge of Action isn't something that players will be able to use during their campaign run.

To unlock the Edge of Action pattern, visit the Enclave on Mars and review the Evidence Board to find seven different quests. These quests must be completed in order, but they aren't available from the start of the campaign. Instead, players will need to play through The Witch Queen expansion story in Destiny 2 before they have access to each of the quests. The various objectives will take players across Savathûn's Throne World to obtain a myriad of items tracked down by Ikora's Hidden, but Guardians should anticipate an ambush from Hive forces for every item they track down.

Destiny 2: Edge Of Action Glaive Best Perks & Traits

After the pattern has been unlocked for the Edge of Action Glaive, players can craft the Exotic weapon in the Enclave on Mars, so long as they have the necessary materials. While most of the materials are relatively easy to get in Destiny 2, players will need a couple of Exotic items called Ascendant Alloy before the Edge of Action can be built. Additionally, since materials are shared between all classes tied to a single account, players can expect to need triple the amount of items for both the Hunter's Exotic Glaive and the Warlock's Edge of Intent in Destiny 2.

For the best Titan Exotic Glaive, use these perks when crafting the weapon:

  • Ballistic Tuning: Greatly increases range and decreases charge time, but decreases shield duration.
  • Alloy Magazine: Significantly faster reloads when the magazine is empty.
  • Short-Action Stock: Greatly increases handling speed.

The most unique part of the Titan Glaive is its Remote Shield Exotic trait. When the weapon's energy is full, Titans can consume it before firing to make their next shot deploy a protective shield on impact. As a Void weapon, the Edge of Action synergizes nicely with the new Titan abilities in Destiny 2's Void 3.0 restructure.
