Despicable Me New Despicable Me Trailer Looks Awesome

Last month we gave you a look at the Despicable Me teaser trailer, now Universal has just debuted a full trailer for the movie and we have it here for you. Don’t worry, it looks great.

Here’s the official synopsis for Despicable Me if you’re not familiar with it or just want reminding:

At last though we get a big screen perspective on the super-villain lifestyle with Despicable Me. Super-villain Gru hatches a plot to become the world’s greatest master criminal. As long as he can overcome his arch rival Vector.

The film sports an impressive voice cast that includes Steve Carell (who plays Gru), Jason Segel, Kristin Wiig, Will Arnett, Ken Jeong, Julie Andrews, Danny McBride, Miranda Cosgrove and Russell Brand. A very odd but rather inspired set of choices to voice this thing.

The new trailer debuted exclusively over at Apple, so I’m afraid you’ll have to head over there to check it out (we’ll try to have it embedded here soon). But don’t forget to come back to Screen Rant to tell us what you thought of it!

As a bonus, here’s some more beautiful images from Despicable Me (click for larger versions):

I have to say that while I dug the teaser trailer for Despicable Me, this new trailer just makes it look fantastic. Although the look of the characters is very odd, and I imagine it will take some time to get used to during the actual movie, the gags look hilarious and it looks like they’ve managed to strike a balance between being silly but not overly so.

I never thought I’d say this about a non-Pixar animated flick, but I’m really looking forward to this one. What about you: What did you make of the Despicable Me trailer? Did you find it as funny as I did?

Despicable Me opens in 3D on July 9th, 2010.
