I just pray it isn't straight to dvd. Straight to dvd just means one thing they where not confident enough to put it in the theatres. Personally I will see it if it goes to the theatres because the first Death Race (the 2008 one that is) was awesome and I didn't see it in the theatres Jason Statham and Tyresse Gibson where badass. I heard Luke Gross will be the star of the Death Race Prequel. That's okay because he was awesome in Blade 2 and Hellboy 2. I hope they do a prequel. I just pray it isn't straight to dvd. Kind of the downfall of humanity/the economy and what leads up to Death Race doesn't lend itself to a "fun movie" IMHO. Either that, or they start the story just around the time of the development of the first prison-based race in order to keep the demolition derby/race aspect to tie it in to the previous film. Either that, or they start the story just around the time of the development of the first prison-based race in order to keep the demolition derby/race aspect to tie it in to the previous film.
