Sure the new film looks a lot better and has some better action… (Drag it out of me)

The charm of the “original” is the world wide conspiracy that’s actually going on during the race…
Stallone and Caradine are also in their prime.

Statham and McShane were good in the new film. Like I said it should have been the sequel to the yet to be produced Transporter 4,,,

I really liked this movie. Sure, I am a little biased as a proud Jason Statham fan, but it was good! I liked the original more, but not by too much. I will agree with 790 that it’s a little hard to compare the two.

I saw the original earlier this year, and I have to say that I like the remake a lot more. Of course, the original had iconic actors like David Caradine, Stallone and Golfer (Fred Grandy ) but I thought it was way too chessy. Maybe if I saw it when it came out, I may have had a different opinion.

I was a huge fan of the original film Death Race 2000 with David Carradine, and I would love the chance to check out this remake with Jason Statham since all his films have been really entertaining, and spawned sequels.
