Wade Wilson is sporting his full superhero costume in the latest batch of set photos from Deadpool 2. The project hit some roadblocks in pre-production with a director change, but things are moving smoothly now. John Wick co-helmsman David Leitch (who replaced Tim Miller) recently started rolling the cameras, and fans have gotten an early look at the highly-anticipated sequel thanks to collections of leaked images. One batch showed the Merc with a Mouth crashing a poor kid's birthday party, while another depicted Wade scouting out a crime scene decked in civilian clothing. These haven't offered many clues in the way of story details, but it's nevertheless fun to see Ryan Reynolds in his career-defining role once again.

Character costumes are a sticking point for any comic book adaptation, and it's easy to say Deadpool knocked it out of the park in this regard with one of the most accurate page-to-screen translations audiences have seen to date. It undeniably worked well in live-action, which is why it was so interesting Wade has only been sporting the mask in unofficial pictures so far. However, nobody thought he'd go through the entire movie without wearing his full Deadpool get-up, and new set images confirm fans will see the entire suit again in Deadpool 2.

Posted by Agent of Marvel on Twitter, a trio of pictures shows Deadpool out at night (presumably) all geared up with nobody to fight. Reynolds seems to be the only actor featured, as various members of the crew make preparations for the scene at hand. You can check them out in the space below:

The images don't provide much context, so it's difficult to say for certain what is happening here. However, with Deadpool dressed to the nines, it's safe to assume this is part of some pre-mediated mission Wade is on and perhaps not a spur-of-the-moment thing. The short that played before Logan proved to the world that Wilson isn't the snappiest at changing into his trademark costume, so he likely made plans to kill some bad guys this particular day (or, he came up short saving a citizen in need again). He's got his swords and possibly some guns on hand, meaning Deadpool is ready for combat.

Deadpool 2 sees a bevy of new characters join the fray, including fan-favorite mutants like Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz). However, so far, the titular hero has been the only one to appear in these set photos. Brolin has teased his transformation into the time-traveling Cable, but no glimpses of him in costume exist yet. With San Diego Comic-Con 2017 right around the corner, the hope is Fox will use the event to showcase some Deadpool 2 footage. After the first Deadpool took over Hall H two years ago, attendees would certainly welcome Reynolds and company with open arms again.
