BBC is reporting that actor David Carradine has been found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand. According to Carradine’s personal manager, Chuck Binder, the actor was in Bangkok filming a new movie called Stretch.
Binder has spoken briefly about Carradine in the wake of this sudden news:

David Carradine was best known for his role as Caine in Kung Fu back in the ’70s and had a recent resurgence as the titled Bill in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. During a career that spanned more than four decades, Carradine also starred in the likes of Death Race 2000, The Warrior and the Sorceress, the TV show Alias and many other film and TV roles. There is no confirmation on the cause of death as of yet, but early details of the discovery point to an apparent suicide.
Carradine will be sorely missed as an iconic, prolific, actor that was admired by film and TV fans all over the world. We here at Screen Rant would like to offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Carradine.

Check out Mr. Carradine in the LONG RIDERS. I can remember watching Caine with my father, simply one of my favorite tv characters ever.
A childhood watching and learning from his “Kung Fu” series along with his Tai Chi instructional videos has been a very good thing in my life.

On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Park Nai Lert Hotel in Junfan Mulay, Bangkok, Thailand.[2][3] The initial police report indicated that Carradine had committed suicide by hanging himself; he was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body.[3][4]
Oh man, what a shock! He was truly a Hollywood icon. My sincerest prayers go out to his friends and family.

Anyone catch the reason for the accident? I wont mention it out of decency, but that’s one of those instances where you can’t help but laugh and feel sick for doing so. I hope this will blow over as quickly and as painlessly for the sake of Mr. Carradine’s family.

That is a major shock and bummer. But the minute I read how he was bound, I imediately thought of that sex thing they do (I forget what they call it) Where you choke ypurself for a stronger orgasism. Quite a few people have accidendaly killed themselves doing this.
I have to tell all of you, if I were a member of Mr. Caradine’s family, I would be very insulted by some of the things I have been reading. An icon has passed; can we just pray for the families release from grief?

Sorry – meant no disrespect either to Carradine or his family by curiously investigating what might have been the cause of his death…
And I hadn’t even heard or read about erotic asphyxiation yet and I can see how that would be highly embarrassing…
However, for all we know, he could still have been murdered and the whole situation rigged to look like how it was. The people here at Screen Rant are right to shelve the speculation and leave the accusations and mocking to the tabloids.
No man deserves that as their eulogy.
