With all the success of The Avengers I have been wondering about Jon Favreau. He basically got this whole Avengers ball rolling with the first Iron Man (still my favorite Marvel film) and continued the roll with the less awesome Iron Man 2. THR spoke with the actor/director about Iron Man 3 and The Avengers, and as with all interviews of this nature, he’s very politically correct. However, I’d be curious to hear his thoughts off the record.
We know Favreau really wanted to direct The Avengers at some point, and somewhere it has to bother him that he didn’t get to. He also says he’s going to be heavily involved with Iron Man 3 even without sitting in the director’s chair. Check out the link for the full interview.

I love me some Brent Spiner. I had such a crush on him growing up. I think I still do. Sometimes I break out in song “Life forms, you lovely little life forms, where are you?” with appropriate snapping and clapping.
Lady Thor is hot but my boobs gave a sympathy wince for her boobs. Metal bras are so not fun.

I hope Favreau isn’t too upset. Honestly I think things turned out for the best, boy did they. The Avengers is IMO the best superhero film ever. Favreau still had a huge influence on the movie with his successful Iron Man flick. So yeah, I think he needs to be more proud of himself than to be disappointed.
