Danny Trejo Cast in ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 4

Danny Trejo Sons of Anarchy season 4 Danny Trejo Cast in ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 4

As season 4 rapidly approaches, FX has recruited the ubiquitous Danny Trejo for a multi-episode arc alongside the members of SAMCRO on the biker drama Sons of Anarchy.

Trejo is set to portray former Mexican military commando Romero ‘Romeo’ Parada, who finds himself a new friend in SAMCRO. As with most roles in Sons of Anarchy, the part calls for someone who is capable of intimidating even the toughest of adversaries. Hitting the road with the motorcycle club is no easy task; not every actor has what it takes to convincingly pull off the biker look and swagger. In this instance, however, the opposite may be true. Trejo could be so convincing he’ll end up intimidating the rest of the cast. In fact, Trejo is so capable of instilling fear that even his recent guest appearances on Modern Family and Bones were filled with a wee bit of trepidation on my part.

Whether he’s is playing the good guy, the bad guy – or a conflicted amalgam of the two – Trejo’s career has been built on the assumption that he is literally the most dangerous guy in the room.

A favorite of Robert Rodriguez, the actor has appeared in almost all of the director’s films including Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, and the Spy Kids franchise. Trejo even starred in last year’s Grindhouse offshoot Machete, which reunited him with his Heat co-star Robert De Niro.

Although we have a description of the character Trejo will be playing, we don’t yet know where Romeo Parada is going to fit in. In fact, much of season 4 will be spent finding out where the boys of the outlaw motorcycle club fit in as well.

Sons of Anarchy season 4 FX Danny Trejo Cast in ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 4

Sons of Anarchy creator and showrunner Kurt Sutter has said that after the events of season 3, the biggest adversary SAMCRO will face in season 4 will be modernity.

“It’ll be a different Charming. There will be a new mayor and a new sheriff. The 21st century is going to land at SAMCRO’s doorstep. It’ll be interesting, because the 21st century will also bleed into their lives.”

With luck, Trejo will be integral to the storyline in season 4 and thereby enjoy a solid amount of screen time. Sons of Anarchy has had its fair share of actors willing to take a turn on the dark side – some have been obvious choices like Henry Rollins, while others like Adam Arkin and Hal Holbrook were unexpected pleasures. Like Rollins, the announcement of Trejo’s involvement seems like a match made in heaven. Frankly, one can hardly believe it took this long to happen.

Watch for Sons of Anarchy season 4 on FX in September.

I was on a Bike Run here today in Sunny Hot Arizona and I saw Hells Angels Sonny Barger and Johnny Angel Palomar on the Run. Sonny and Johnny Angel are both doing good at 71 years old. They both ride Victory Motorcycles now. no more Harley Davidson’s for them.

Oh,this is great news! Danny should cause even Tig to wet his pants on occasion. And yes, to Sam Elliott would be a great add on too. Too bad William Smith is up their in years. Loved him as a biker. One of the best ever.

HA Sonny Barger a Club Brother of mine was on SOA and he is 71 years old and he did fine. whats age got to do with it? Sonny still rides with the very fast Cave Creek Crew HA in Arizona and he keeps up with the younger members just fine. William Smith would do fine as would Dennis Burkley who played DOZER in the movie Mask. Dennis is not young anymore but he still acts in movies.

I remember a few years ago when the SOA cast had a party at the Buffalo Chip Saloon in Cave Creek Arizona with the local Hells Angels charters. it was fun to meet and party with the SOA cast and the Angels. I got some great pics from that day.

SOA is an all time favorite of mine. Sam Elliot and William Smith should do guest appearances in the fourth season. The only thing I hate about SOA is that one day it will stop filming! Too bad for all of the other fans.

Ron Pearlman really has to go he’s such a dork on a bike. No one as tall as him would ever have mid controls on their bike. He just sucks, hates bikes and it shows.

you guys with bad raps of this show are one of the following:
never been around bikers, clubs, gangs.
have been so soft of a “political correct” honda rider
or worse yet, a person who likes to judge and be-little other things just to make themselfs seem greater and more importiant to other MORE SUCCESSFUL ventures.
either way as for my thoughts on SOA, EXCELLENT SHOW, WONDERFUL SCRIPTS AND STORY, WONDERFUL ACTORS FOR EACH PART, AND DIRECTOR AND PRODUCERS MUST HAVE A UNBELIVABLELY GREAT TIME AT WORK TO GET THIS THING AS THE NUMBER ONE SHOW!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, YOULL HAVE FANS!!

Talk about AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME show. Hats off to Kurt, the cast and crew. Tig! You rock babe. You all play your characters so well and I am loving it.

Danny Trejo! well its about time. I would love to have seen Danny, Westen and Tig in a to the death, bad ass psycho episode challenging for SIA. That would be an episode not to miss. sadly that wont ever happen because Westen was popped with 1 to many bullets. (Thanks Jax).

You have all been done a serious injustice by the awards. Like ditchdigger said, LONG LIVE SOA.

Absolutely AWESOME show – live in South Africa and we haven’t got this show running here yet. My son downloaded it for me, and we now have – due to the AWESOMENESS of the show – by word of mouth – got a whole lot of people totally mad about SOA. Cannot wait for season 4!!

Sam Elliot? How about Jerry (the Beav’) Mathers for Mayor

What this show needs is Tom Waits! The show needs a new theme song…reckon he’d could come up with something different

the SOA is a good show and they cast real 1%ers from the Angels and Vagos. They promised to cast them both to keep things good with the outlaw world. Another note Danny Trejo is a Vagos supporter.
