During Elvis Night, in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom, Alexis Warr impressed viewers and judges. She temporarily filled in for pro dancer Daniella Karagach, after Daniella tested positive for COVID-19. Alexis learned Daniella's choreographed dance for Elvis Night in a matter of hours, before performing it live with Joseph Baena.

On the morning of Elvis Night, Daniella tested positive for COVID-19. Despite feeling fine and being asymptomatic, she was forced to quarantine. In addition to this, Joseph (along with Daniella's husband, fellow pro dancer, Pasha Pashkov) wore a mask during the live show, as a safety precaution. Daniella remained in quarantine for the entire following week, ultimately missing out on James Bond Night as well.

Alexis Filled In For Daniella Before

Since Daniella missed out on an entire week in the ballroom, including rehearsals and live shows, Alexis stepped in as a replacement. The young dancer has a lot of accomplishments on her resume. According to Hollywood Life, Alexis, who is just 22 years old, is the winner of So You Think You Can Dance season 17. Not only did she win, but she also became "the first Latin/ballroom dancer to ever win." Alexis is no stranger to the DWTS cast. After Daniella injured her foot on tour last spring, Alexis stepped in as her replacement. Alexis is also a DWTS Troop dancer. Troop dancers are extra dancers who are a part of group opening numbers. They may also be extras in the couple's dances, or, in Daniella's case, fill in when pros must be absent from the ballroom.

The Utah native has also auditioned for shows, such as America's Got Talent and World of Dance, which DWTS judge Derek Hough was also a judge on. In the midst of being on so many shows, Alexis found time to marry the love of her life. She and her now-husband Jake Burton married in 2018. He is currently studying to become a dentist, while Alexis is living out her dancing dream. The two have been together since they were in high school, and continue to support each other in their life journeys.

As Daniella returns to the ballroom, Alexis will head back to being a part of the Dancing with the Stars troop. There is no doubt that Alexis was a shining star in the ballroom, as she filled in for Daniella. Leaving such a big impression on the judges may score her a role as a pro dancer on the next season of the show. Fans will have to wait and see, but until then, they can watch her dazzle as a troop dancer each week.
