With the highly anticipated D23 Expo this weekend potentially revealing huge new looks at major Marvel releases, pictures have emerged from the convention floor ahead of the start of festivities showcasing costumes and models from various elements of the MCU.

D23 kicks off tomorrow, with expected new looks at several of films under the brand of Disney Animation, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and of course, Marvel. With four major releases in the pipeline over the next 12 months, this will be a chance for Marvel President Kevin Feige to unveil footage from Thor: Ragnarok, Black PantherAnt-Man & the Waspand the feverishly anticipated Avengers: Infinity WarWhether or not footage from these films will be shown has yet to be confirmed, but the convention floor features quite a few pieces from these major upcoming superhero blockbuster.

Pictures posted on Instagram by user StitchKingdom at a D23 preview night for certain parties showed looks at the Marvel corner of the convention floor. The main attraction is a huge, hulking bust of Josh Brolin's Thanos, the big bad antagonist who will bring the Infinity War to the Avengers with his collection of the stones for his gold Infinity Gauntlet. The big statue doesn't feature him with his gold armor or the gauntlet, but you still get a sense of his size and purple intimidation. Next to the posing villain is a still covered figure, to be unveiled after the Marvel panel.

Next comes a look at some of the diverse costuming in the Wakandian solo film for Black Panther. Chadwick Boseman's kingly superhero made a splash with his Captain America: Civil War debut, and the solo film from Creed director Ryan Coogler made a big splash with its first trailer last month. StitchKingdom snapped a good look at the wardrobe of the characters in the film, including T'Challa's panther suit.

The area for Thor: Ragnarok also features costuming from the film, with Thor, Jeff Goldblum's The Grandmaster and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie on display. Thor's armor looks sleeker and more minimalist than in past films, probably for the gladiator battles that he's forced to fight in the film.

Finally, there's a look at a model of the recently opened ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout in Disneyland. The ride took the place of Tower of Terror in the park and debuted in early May, and fans who have not seen it yet can have a look at the redesign.

Keep checking Screen Rant for all the announcements and footage descriptions from D23 starting tomorrow.
