My main problem with this movie was just that it wasn't really the story of a man who aged backwards: it was the story of a man who aged backwards and how he repeatedly tries to get with the same girl.
I felt that the whole crux of the movie was downplayed to the extent that it merely became a tragic love story with some philosophy thrown in.

That being said, it was very entertaining in parts and did a fairly good job of tackling an incredibly ambitious project.

it was a little weird to see an old version of Brad Pitt's face pasted onto a kid's body, but i guess that's why they call it a "curious case"

the stupidest movie I ever had the misfortune to waste time watching! Brad Pitt is predictably a poor excuse for an actor. The girl was "OK" as an actress but felt so sorry for her to be in such a stupid movie, well, it's ok for 7 year olds but NOT for adults! When are we going to see REAL plots, that require intelligence, like in the movies of the 50's and 60's? All you see now is stupid poor excuses for science fiction like this movie, or nudity, violence and obscenity because producers are too stupid to use their brains to come up with REAL ideas or REAL, intelligent plots....UGH!!!!!!!

I adore the film because the portrayal of how ironic things could technically get is overwhelmingly profound.

The ending is jus' a bit --- "bla" i think? I'm not so sure how to say it because i felt that it was not cohesive wit' the entire mood and feel of the film.

All in all, the movie should not be missed. It's heartfelt.. it's a beautiful film.

Actual sex? No. Suggestive sexual situations? Absolutely. And profanity? Some of the characters ONLY speak in profanity. (The Sea Captain rings a foul-mouthed bell.)

I dug it.

In retrospect, it may have been a tad long..maybe 10 to 15 minutes tops. But I sure didn't think so sitting there.

Not one person in my packed theater showed any signs of boredom at all, it was that engrossing. In fact, the guy with the lightning story (no spoiler here) was the perfect respite in an otherwise intense film.

I think we as an audience have become too quick to expect the big payoff. Hollywood has done a good job of conditioning us for the same ole, same ole.

I found this movie to be a nice change from the usual fast-food-films they churn out for us.

The Lenght is just fine! We should not be complaining about the lenght of a movie, considering how expensive tickets are these days! Would you pay $10, or over $50 if you're with a hot gyal for a movie that ends quickly than an hour long drama? Or even a 2 part episode finale? I wouldn't!

Benjamin's lenght tells the entire story, a proper beginning, middle and end. And, Pitt should get some noms, his work in this movie was great! In fact, Pitt should only work with Fincher, that should be a rule!

Lastly, as for Pitt when he gets 'older' and has the celebrity/blank face. At that time you need Blanchett to fill in the emotional punch because at that is when (spoiler)............ Pitt's character is losing it! Blanchett fills in that proper ending when Pitt cannot.

Go see it, one of 08's best! And, its Fincher guys! Fincher!

While there much to admire here I felt the films length really hurt it. Its at least 45 minutes to long. The effects are landmark, Benjamin is a really unique character but its running time sucks out much of its glory! 3 out of 5 for me.
