I would love to see a remake of this movie but i would like it to be good. Another thing im curious about is who will play Kay or if there is a new name for the character the lead female role. I think my cousin Emily Blunt would be good for the part cause she is apparently very good in the wolf man remake.

Of all the people who apparently loved the original Creature, as I did, not one mentioned whether or not they thought the remake should be in 3D, as the original was. I can’t help but wonder how many even know it was in 3D.

i think i share the same sentiments with the rest of you guys, i am looking forward to a remake of the creature from the black lagoon. i totally loved those old classic films and maybe if anyone remembers the remake of the spirit movie that was done in b/w they can do C.F.T.B.L. in the same way.

This one WAS overdue for a remake/reboot. Glad to see they haven’t forgotten about it. Can be good if done right.

Wish Spielberg was going to do it, but he’s probably busy with his bio pics.

Wow, I’ve been wondering why they haven’t made a remake of this for some time now. It was always my favorite also. I think they make too many remakes also, and the whole reboot thing, just makes no sense to me at all…but his is a movie that I’m really looking forward to seeing remade. Movies that old are ok to remake in my opinion. And Paul, I can’t believe you brought up “Them” and “Tarantula”. Bravo! and here I thought I was the only one that remembered those fantastic old classics. I loved “The Deadly Mantis” too. I always loved those plots…”Man mistreats mother nature and she spawns some gastly monster to get revenge on us”. I see nothing wrong with that premise for a plot John Taylor. Did anyone see “The Host”, that was the origin of that creature and that was a frickin awesome movie.

I love the original. The GIll Man is my favorite of the classic Universal Monsters.

That being said: I believe a remake could be successful if handled correctly. Guillermo del Toro would be great but his schedule is way too full already. I don’t have anybody specific in mind, but it should be someone who has love and respect for the original and not some work-for-hire director without any vision.

p.s. I’m really looking forward to The Wolfman remake.

As much as I would like to see this film remade for today, they will probably screw it up. The creature’s origin will probably be that it was created because of too much carbon monoxide in the air or global warming or some other nonsense.

I would also like to see The Forbin Project remade with Daniel Craig as the lead but they would probably screw that up too. The computer would probably take over humanity because humans are screwing up the planet or something. Or they would have some happy ending, unlike the original.

%99 of remakes are crap.
