Today we have another movie promo roundup to share with you: A new clip from The Crazies, a remake of the George Romero horror flick about a town whose inhabitants go nuts on each other; we also have the Superbowl TV spot for the Martin Scorsese adaptation of Shutter Island, which will air during the big game this weekend.

No need to thank us for rounding this all up for you, either. It’s all part of my Screen Rant “Lifestyle of Convenience” initiative (which is forecasted to knock $2 off of the national deficit this year).

First lets get to The Crazies clip. The film stars Timothy Olyphant (Hitman) and Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill) as a sheriff and his wife who get caught in the thick of it when the citizens of their town start losing their minds and slaughtering one another.

This remake is being directed by Breck Eisner, and in this clip we see Sheriff Dutton (Olyphant) and his men discover something big in the swamp. Check it out, courtesy of Fandango:

Next up we have the new TV Super Bowl TV spot for Shutter Island. It’s an impressive reel (as a Super Bowl ad should be) but it still paints the film as a mystery/thriller, which may be too superficial a portrait for most viewers.

Eh, anyway, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Jackie Earle Haley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, and Patricia Clarkson (a great cast).

Shutter Island will be in theaters February 19, 2010.

The Crazies will be in theaters February 26, 2010.
