Meet Wolverine, Gambit, Wade Wilson, John Wraith and the friendly Sabretooth. These mutants were kind enough to give you a little introduction to themselves in the form of these short teaser videos.
These clips for X-Men Origins: Wolverine originate from MTV but we found some YouTube versions that are playable worldwide. Before we get to that, the poster above is also brand new. Marvel put it up on their website a few days ago and I thought this would be a good place to display it.

As for the videos, the most entertaining introduction is the one featuring Wade Wilson, played by the always-awesome Ryan Reynolds. I’d say my second favorite goes to Gambit even though his is a little cheesy – what’s with the awful purple glow on his spinning staff in that one scene?

I’m glad this movie is getting some more cool marketing before its release in a few weeks -- things felt pretty grim this last week or so since the early pirated version of the film made its way online. With the great stuff we’ve been hearing about Star Trek, and the cool stuff we’re seeing for Terminator Salvation, it felt like Wolverine was losing some attention.
What do you think of the five characters and their introductions?

This does help bring some attention back to the film but the whole deadpool/weapon XI thing still bothers me. He looks like Barack from Mortal Kombat.
Deadpools alright, but it’s more a dry wit rather than a off the wall insanity I’d have hoped for. It could work, I’ll just wait till the movie.
Man, I hate that my work blocks the video’s hosted off this site. Looks like I have to wait until I get home to see these.

Actually your work probably doesn’t block videos that we host on our server – those are YouTube vids and that’s what’s being blocked.

I’d say Wraith’s was pretty lame, but other than that these look pretty cool
But it still bothers me that Sabertooth is so awesome in these trailers, and yet was basically a goon in X1, hopefully the movie explains that somehow
Surprisingly enough, Gambit does not bother me.
At all.
I think he gets pretty close to hitting the mark with the accent (as best someone can do without being Chris Potter)

I’m a fan of Taylor Kitsch, and overall the image of gambit and the attitude didn’t bother me, nor did the accent, but it was clearly a Texan one.
Obviously Taylor hasn’t been able to drop his accent from Friday Night Lights and from his life in Austin, Texas. I’d rather him have no accent than one that doesn’t hit the mark. Oh well, as long as he performs well I’ll be fine.
These actually make me want to see the movie more, so mission accomplished I guess.
The action looks totally cartoony and outlandish in parts, especially Deadpool slicing the bullet, and that’s actually not a bad thing for me.
For me, in comic book movies…cartoony is good.

Gambit needs to take of that hat. Reminds me of Bowler Hat Guy from Meet The Robinson’s. Maybe the music here at starbucks is drowning out the cajun accent because I could barely hear it.

i know Gambit Pretty well and i really wish they could have Put Forth a little more effort for this Beloved X-man who should have been in the First Flick.

TV Spots they changed his eyes to a Darker Red cornial with Black Pupil.
and i hate that they dident give him his TRademark eyes.
where the white of his eyes are Black.

I’d like to see a Blob one too. Interestingly, we still haven’t seen a single bit of marketing relating to Dominic Monaghan’s character, Beak.
Rob, a part of me wants to hope that it’s because he’s exactly like he is in the comics, a dorky, malformed cross between an undernourished German punk rocker and a baby bird….and who wants to advertise that alongside Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds
But I’ve heard some disturbing things about what they’ve done to his character, so perhaps its too much to hope…

Also Good Point we have seen Much of “Beak” at all.
I’m still worried about the whole weapon XI thing. Why does it show weapon XI in the Wade Wilson trailer in the middle of his scenes? If they give Deadpool blades in his arms, an adamantium skeleton and an optic blast i’m not sure what can even be said about that. Hopefully they are not that stupid. I can get changing some things but thats like giving wolvie telepathy and a magic hammer. Just so off base its not even funny.
Personally, I liked Gambit the best..with the accent.
And concerning Deadpool, maybe they’re keeping the rest a surprise.
Still wish Sabretooth was taller though…

and simply made up his character for the movie, if it helps.
I was foolish to expect some manner of satisfaction in Gambits dialect. Not all hope is lost… but very little remains.

Thanks for the link – I saw the Wolverine Game trailer yesterday and I thought it looked bad (superhero movie tie-in games always are).
While Gambit did throw out one of his french trademark phrases, that accent throughout the trailer sounded horribly fake and forced.
Rumor has it, Wade Wilson/DeadPool (Ryan Reynolds’ Character) WILL be getting.
This is making me scream like a little girl lol.

If Wolverine rocks the box office and people like Wade Wilson, his spinoff will be greenlit rather quickly.
