Not much of an update,but I just thought the new Punisher: War Zone (aka Punisher 2) poster looked pretty cool. I haven’t seen it in a theater yet, but it is a “lenticular” poster, meaning one of those that seems to follow you when you walk past it. From the image below it seems the guns Ray Stevenson is holding will follow you around the room.

Gun-laden Lenticular Punisher: War Zone poster
This film has had its share of problems throughout the production period with the bad blood between Thomas Jane (the previous Punisher) and the production team, Lexi Alexander and her (or the studio’s) “kicked off the movie” stunt. While I’m still hoping it will be great I’m not terribly optimistic.

I’m nervous but holding on to cautious optimism.
I’ll watch it simply because Ray Stevenson is in it.
I hate the gun boarder.
All the posters have been biting Tim Bradstreet’s style from the comic covers. Did Lions Gate get cheap or something? He did all the poster except like 2 for the last movie.
The gun border is iffy for me as well.
Other then that, it’s almost exactly the same as one of the priors where he’s holding a pair of machine guns (non cross-armed)
It looks like an ad for Punisher handgun and assault rifles…
You see this kind of poster hanging up in gunstores throughout the country…
I wasn’t in favor of or against the gun border until I realized that it’s the real border. Like, there’s no black backdrop, the edges of the guns are the edges of the poster, and that’s pretty cool.

What I noticed when I saw it yesterday was the lighting on the hands. Even on the computer it looks like they poke out of the picture. I think the border was done purposely to enhance the lenticular effect. Have to check it at the theater.
Why is PWZ getting labled “Punisher 2″ on Screenrant?
Because I haven’t gotten around to changing it.

Cool poster. I usually just ignore the other BS that comes with films and judge them with what’s up there on the screen.
