No, We Haven’t Been Ignoring You

about vic2 No, We Havent Been Ignoring YouHere at Screen Rant we pride ourselves at having a personal touch when it comes to our visitors. We get involved in conversations in the comment area, we respond to emails and when you contact us via the site contact form we try to get back to you in a timely manner. However, if you’ve contacted us via the site form over the last couple of months, you probably went away thinking we were arrogant jerks because we never replied to you.

Imagine my dismay when a couple of days ago I discovered that the contact form had not been forwarding messages to us for the last two months.

We moved to a new server a couple of months ago and there was a minor setting that was not configured correctly – causing emails to not be sent to my email address. So… that means that hundreds of people have tried to get a hold of us over the last couple of months with no response whatsoever.

I feel terrible about that, and I hope that those who’ve tried to contact us read the site every day and see this message.

In any case, the problem is now fixed and we receive contact form submissions once again. I apologize profusely for the problem.

  1. I would hope no one thinks of you guys like this EVEN if opinons vary you and your “staff” conduct yourselves accordingly. Not to “corporate” and never “arrogant jerks”.

Wish I could visit as much as I use to. I will be back!

  2. Ah, that explains things, for the past 2 months I've been secretly spying on Jonah Nolan and sending you guys updates on his Batman 3 script, but was wondering why you weren't posting it. And wouldn't you know, I've lost all my notes and a head injury caused me to forget most of it (although I do remember that a llama features prominently… okay that may be the wrong movie).

I guess internet servers make fools of us all sometimes eh?

  3. So does that mean I will finally get my money Vic? I'll have to call Carmine and ask him to ah well, nevermind, I'm sure that you're good for the vig ain'tcha?

  4. LOL, love you guys. :)

  5. That's why you why never responded to those winning lottery numbers I sent you. :D

  6. no worries vic stuff happens. I do have a question that I sent u during that period. I am very curious to how 'screenings' work, does everyone who has a pro site like yours get a email to when and where to screenings are taking place? and where do these screening take place a movie theater or a home theater? just curious because i c that u have reviews up on movies that are not out yet for the public.

  7. Once a site is established you can get on lists with marketing companies that regularly host pre-screenings for films. They take place at regular theaters in major cities. Cities like LA and NYC have screenings sooner than in other cities.

Where I live sometimes they're during the day and they're for critics only, but more often the screenings are at night and you can bring a guest – plus there's an audience that has gotten tickets via various promotional giveaways.

  8. Ahhh, that's a shame Vic because I had 2 tickets: 1 to Iron Man 2 and the other to Tron: Legacy. I had to give them to another site, since you didn't respond. :-)

  9. ahh I c thanks for the quick awnser vic, was allways curious about that.

  10. I can personally atest to ScreenRant not ignoring. When I first emailed Vic directly about this his response was quick. I figured it would be a day or 2 before I heard back.

Personally I'd have to be ignored for several months or more before I stop coming here; too much great info to miss out on over something trivial.
