Conjuring 2 Entourage and Inherent Vice Release Dates Warner Bros. Sets Release Dates for The Conjuring 2, Entourage & Inherent Vice

With all of the recent Batman Vs. Superman news, you’d be worried that Warner Bros. would be swamped and let their other projects fall to the wayside. Fortunately, Deadline is reporting a handful of just announced release dates.

The Conjuring brought us into the world of real life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren and became the horror movie hit of 2013. The Conjuring 2 has been scheduled for an October 23, 2015 release and is rumored to be sending the Warrens to England. IMDB has the film listed as The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, a subtitle possibly referring to a 1977 case of a single mother in suburban London whose children were being haunted.

After what seems like forever, the Entourage movie finally has a release date as well and will hit theaters on June 12, 2015. The film began shooting last week with original series cast members Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara. Series creator Doug Ellin wrote the script and, though the film will be premiering about four years after the series ended, the story will pick up only six months after the finale left off.

Unfortunately, Entourage might have a tough opening weekend as it will be going up against the much anticipated Jurassic Park sequel, Jurassic World.

Warner Bros. has also given Paul Thomas Anderson’s film Inherent Vice a swanky awards season placement. The film, which stars Academy favorites Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro, will open on December 12, 2014.

The film is an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s 1970-set detective novel that follows drug-fueled detective Larry “Doc” Sportello (Phoenix) as he investigates the disappearance of a former girlfriend with the arrest and trial of the Manson Family as a backdrop. Inherent Vice will be Anderson’s first film since 2012′s The Master, which also earned a heap of awards nominations.

And a packed awards December it will be with the Ridley Scott Epic Exodus also premiering on December 12. The Hobbit: There and Back Again, the final in the trilogy, hits December 17. Christmas Day brings the musical Into the Woods, as well as the Angelina Jolie-directed Unbroken and a still untitled Cameron Crowe film starring Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper and Rachel McAdams.

  1. Uh Paranormal Activity 5 comes out a year before the Conjuring 2. I don’t think it will be much of a battle considering PA5 will be on DVD by the time Conjuring 2 comes out.

    • cant wait 4 the conjuring 2

  2. Conjuring #1 is in my Netflix list, and #2 will be when available also. We will give it a watch.

  3. 1st Conjuring movie scared the bejeezus outta me.

  4. Sequelicious news!

  5. It’s always a smart move IMO to release horror movies close to Halloween so I like the release date for The Conjuring sequel.

I’m really excited for Inherent Vice. That’s only 2 years between PTA films and I’m happy about that.
I know and understand why most people are excited for 2015 but for me the last quarter of this year has movies from David Fincher (Gone Girl) Christopher Nolan (Interstellar) and Paul Thomas Anderson (Inherent Vice), my 3 favorite directors working today.
Then we finish off the year with The Hobbit. It’s going to be a blast. :)
