Fans of “Team Coco” who have been waiting to get a glimpse of the red-haired icon’s new late-night talk show Conan are in luck, as they will be streaming tonight’s test show online via TeamCoco.com, Facebook and YouTube at 11pm EST.
While test shows are common practice for new talk-shows, no one has ever thought to air them (let alone live), until now! Typically, test shows are used to warm up the host and to give producers a sense of how the show will run, what to tweak and basically what works and what doesn’t. With Conan being a seasoned host working with most of his former staff, it would seem that everyone is comfortable enough to allow the internet masses to view tonight’s “show zero” live.
Accompany Conan O’Brien on tonight’s late-night escapades will be his long-time co-host (and current sidekick) Andy Richter. Other than that, there has been no other announcement of what guests will be showing up. Even Conan’s band for tonight has been appropriately labeled “the show zero band.”
After last week’s highly successful live stream from the Conan production offices, it appears that they’re trying to tap into Conan’s internet popularity in order to drum up even more interest in the November 8 premiere of Conan.
