So you dont think the actor that plays conan needs to know how to act?And that conan is a man of few words?Zul…have you ever read an REH conan book?I dont think you have.There is a lot more to conan than a big body and cool landscapes.And Arnold did not do a thing for REH’s conan,but hurt him.

The real deal is to create a hyborian world that is magical with landscapes and people that make it real. Yeah..please don’t screw it up. CONAN is a hero from PULP legend. He is not a cartoonish goofball like we see in DESTROYER or BARBARIAN with his face falling in his mush. He should be treated with the same grit his creator envisioned.

no wwe wrestlers as conan they suck as actors. As for arnie i dont really think he did a good job. I only have one name for you ANDREW BRYNIARSKI! He played a football player in the movie THE PROGRAM,he had small roles in some more movies but he is most known for playing leatherface in the last 2 TCM movie’s.He is the only actor that has the look,the body,and acting skill.Not to mention he just has that born in the hills of wild cimmeria look to him.Give him some blue contacts and color his hair black you got conan.

So why NOT WWE’s Batista or Triple HHH? Their acting on a weekly level is way better than some of the MetrosexualwishywashyGeeImsogreatsudostars that THINK that they are great actors. Let someone who actually gets sweaty and bloody for their regular job give it a shot. The fan base is there. I’d much rather see the (already) Conan-like Triple HHH rock (No Pun Dewayne…) the screen! Have you ever seen him live? He’ll scare the crap outta you!!! Give him a broadsword and he would def be a new breakout star in H-wood. We’re def in dire need of a good ‘badass’ on screen! (Besides me of course.)

So we will basically have a PG-13 Conan, wait wasnt that Kull with Kevin Sorbo? I can’t really this being a stellar or of quality movie now.

Jeez…… Ratner recycled the SAME movie formula multiple times (Rush Hours 1-3 – anyone see his movie Money Talks?….), he remade Manhunter which didn’t need to be remade (oh except for Dino Delaurentis’ huge boner to exploit anything of Thomas Harris’ he can get his hands on and crank out for a few bucks), and he undid all the great work Bryan Singer did with the first two Xmen movies.

Go ahead Brett…. you might as well F up CONAN too…….

I think Ratner done an ace job with X3 and should have been given more praise,in fact it was my favourite X-Men movie…great pace,good acting and effects…and fun!!
As for Conan himself…not sure who could fill Arnies shoes..he kind of nailed it so well…he should have made more years ago instead of T-3 and all the other mince he appeared in!

What happened to the talks of John McTieran directing?
And please no talk of Diesel or Gerard Butler, although he did make a better Beowulf. And, personally I thought the Zemeckis’ Beowulf was more Conan.
A really good directing choice: Sergei Bodrov — directed Mongol.
You have to get a wrestler for Conan cause all of today’s male actors are scrawny little guys. I dont want to see some guy weild a sword and wear armor thats heavier than he is, ex. Orlando Bloom. Unless you pump a lot of HGH in whoever gets this role.

Someone like Sean Bean would do fine. Better than Arnold even.

I’d rather someone not so big as long as they could convey the animal nature and power of Conan.

I’d love to see a Conan reboot , just please use a director than can do action/adventure.
Ratner has done some fun movies but I doubt that they’ll use him.
BHC 4? If they actually WANT to do a good movie , it could work. if money is the ONLY goal then it does not bode well .
