All these franchises are going to be ****** up like the Spiderman franchise. I`m sorry, but if they make the same mistakes they made in almost all other superhero franchises i`ve seen,then I just can`t get excited about these films. Unless they can make a properly-resorted story with the characters being adapted to the villains. But maybe someday a new superhero comic book company will be opened up. I suggest they don`t use any of the villains too early like what they did with Spiderman.

On Thor though, they said it would be based on some sort of science, whatever that means.

Thor is all about myth and faith, Iron-Man is all science/ technology, Captain America is pride and being selfless, while The Hulk is about inner rage and doing what you want when you want no matter the consequences…
All these characters seem to be conflictive, which would make for a great team plot, since they’re all more then likely to spend the movie at each others throats.
Hulk is deffinately the key component in this conflict/ resolution, without this character the movie is destined to be a buddy-buddy team movie with minimal internal conflict amongst the Avengers. For this to work properly, Nick Fury needs to have minimal screen time and be more of a Charlie (from Charlie’s Angels) which leaves room for a Nick Fury spin-off.

Captain America is about pride and being selfless, while The Hulk is all about doing what you want when you want. all are contradictions and would make for a great team movie, since it seems likely they’d all be at each others throats.

i like what vid say’s an avengers movie must have cap thor and ironman, blackpanther & ms marvel would be awesome members but please not the hulk because he is boring & can’t speak very well anyway. thor captain america ironman are the most coloful appealing interesting charasmatic members in the avengers lineup. have the avengers fight the masters of evil and the lava men in future avengers movies 2 3 & 4

I can see them adding Ant-Man and Wasp.

There was that rumor of Eva Longoria reading up for Wasp and we know Ant-Man will eventually be made – perhaps he’ll be introduced here and get his solo after.

We could get some more of the newer Avengers like Black Panther who will also be getting his own solo flick eventually.

It’s exciting that this is actually happening and I look forward to Captain America announcements soon – they better not delay that!

Thor, Cap & Iron Man must be in it. I think it could work with just those three. I could also see them adding two members. Namely Ms. Marvel and Black Panther. I wouldn’t want to see any more than 5 main members because there just wouldn’t be enough screen time for all the heroes and the villains to cram into one movie (unless it’s made in 2 parts or something).

I wouldn’t write-off the Ant-Man movie at all. Being written and directed by Edgar Wright earns my confidence. He did co-write and direct Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz after all. Also I would prefer to have Greg Kinnear play any incarnation of the character.

Ant-man movie? Who’s idea was it? Here we go again: another Man-Thing, Elektra bomb! Do people check character popularity before they take these gambles? Ant-man couldn’t even keep a solo comic!And what’s the big deal about a miniature man anyway. The concept has been overflogged through the years. Marvel should think well and hard about this.

As for Thor being science based, I’m a bit worried about this. I know the world has gone scientific, but films like 300 and Lord of the Rings point to the fact that fantasy still sells. Unless they want to put it on some sort of metaphysical stage. But I hope they wont try to logically rationalize each power, each character.. let’s remember that Thor is primarily a Norse myth..and his entity should remain that way. Personally, I wouldnt mind a 300esque quality while in Asgard and a regular format when on Midgard(Earth).
