no gore in Batman?.....are you crazy?....so Harvey Dents flesh burned face complete with bulging eyeball and melting flesh over the lips isnt gory?
look, it got away with pg13, ive seen a hundred movies that get away with way worse......Repossessed (a spoof of the exorcist) had full frontal nudity twice in it, along with a cascade of swear words, and its pg13 whereas Orgazmo was NC17 only becuase one of the characters wore a dildo on his head. Ive seen TomGreen do worse with one on TV.

the fact is the just like the point of south parks movie....Horrendous, deplorable violence is ok, as long as they dont have a potty mouth.
now if 91/2 weeks came out today, do you think the MPAA would give it an NC17?

I don't see how it pushes the bounds of it's rating. If you actually look it up and see what your allowed to do in a PG 13 movie you would see that. People talk about how it should be an R just because it's a dark film. In a PG 13 movie you can show someones Butt, you can say F**K one time and you can use various other curse words. The Dark Knight did not use one curse word did not show anyone back side. The movie did not have an sexual innuendo, no gore what so ever.

Now on to this movie. In regards to Shane. Kevin Smith is a very talented writer and director and has made some excellent films. He has also managed to make successful films not to mention the fact that he has a huge cult following so to say he is the kiss of death simply doesn't work.

The kiss of death came to this film when Kevin Smith decided to write it and then decided to direct it. The title was just the icing on the cake.

Ok well I strongly dislike the MPAA and the entire rating system but I don't get why people think Dark Knight should of gotten an R. Seriously no sex, No gore, hell you didn't even really see any blood or hear foul language. It was simply dark and a little creepy. That doesn't justify an R rating.

What... He has to rename it to get an R-rating? Why not rename it "Zack and Miri Have Adult Troubles." Have the word censored slam across the word Adult in the adverts. Trim the offending scenes if necessary. Then include them on the DVD. No matter what the title will go to DVD in short order anyway. Best to make lemonade while the lemons are still fresh!

ya there were alot of violent scenes and scary stuff in Dark Knight.

I guess murder and knives are okay, but some sexual reference is not (which applies more to reality?)

MPAA is corrupt and for sale.

Love Kevin Smith but this premise sounds like a film I will totally skip.

Maybe next time Kevin, I sure wish you would mature and make some original material...
