The cosplay at San Diego Comic-Con gets better every year and 2014 was no exception. Would-be fashion designers break out their sewing machines, hot glue guns, or visit a costume store to transform themselves into a bevy of  superheroes, supervillains, and various other characters from TV shows and movies – it’s truly a sight to behold.

The best thing about cosplay is there’s NO LIMIT to what people can and do wear – they’re only limited by their imaginations (and budgets). The amount of source material available for cosplayers to choose from is staggering, and with new costumes being introduced to fans each year, like those from Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers 2, and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice , it seems that cosplay won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

Even though we traversed miles and miles of territory during Comic Con this year and saw some fantastic cosplay, there’s just no way to be in every place at once over the course of four days. However, we did pull together over 100 images that we think you’ll enjoy.

We’ve divided the images into the following categories:

  1. Some of that was cool. Well done.

Also cool was Guardians Of The Galaxy. Got back from it 40 minutes ago, it was incredible. Best movie of the year so far.

    • @Dazz – Thanks. I watched it with my 8 y/o son last night. He says Groot has replaced Hulk as his new favorite Marvel character lol.

      • lol, well, wouldn’t blame him. It’s funny though because at times, I could literally imagine Vin on those stilts and it made Groot’s scenes even more incredible.

If a spoiler article goes up, you’ll have to mention what you and your son thought were your funniest moments of the film because there were a hell of a lot to choose from.

        • I’m seeing it later today. Did you see it in Imax 3D? I’m just wondering if it’s worth the extra money or if seeing it normal would be fine.

          • I saw it in 2D but only because 3D does nothing for me generally and the only films I found worth watching in IMAX 3D were Godzilla and Life Of Pi.

            • Thanks. I feel the same way about 3D. I just was making sure its not one of those rare films that are way better in 3D. I think I’ll stick with 2D this time.

  2. OH NO! You mean this new comic book movie isn’t “grounded?”

Terrible news….. I guess when I step out of the theater after seeing GOTG I’ll have a big smile on my face.

  3. Sally and Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas

  4. Next time, Kato should make sure his shoes are polished, because a manservant always looks presentable.

And, Darth Maul should hand out business cards: Darth Maul, Senior V.P of Executive Headhunting.

  5. Some of those nerd girls are cute. Are you sure they are not just actors pretending to be nerds.

  6. Just an observation I think that Ichabod Crane looks a lot like an Aragorn from lord of the rings.

    • @djcortez – I thought that as well but we asked him and that’s what he said.

  7. Absolutely loved those ‘Archer’ cosplayers.
Lol @ Deadpool love pillow ( the picture on his pillow is actually Deadpool holding the pillow)

It’s like a giant Halloween party. Gotta get a ticket for SDCC next year. It’s officially on my bucket list.
