On the surface, Snow White and the Huntsman might not seem like standard Comic Con 2011 fare; however, a quick glimpse at the two leads in the film quickly make it clear why a fairytale movie is getting prime real estate in Hall H.

Snow White and the Huntsman is poised to hit two key demographics when it arrives in the summer of 2012 – due to headlining appearances from Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, as Snow White, and Thor, Chris Hemsworth, as the Huntsman.

One of two Snow White projects in development (the other, “more traditional” project features Sean Bean, Julia Roberts and Lily Collins), Snow White and the Huntsman takes a lot of liberties in telling its version of the classic fairytale, adding a lot more action – not to mention romance between the titular characters – as the beginning of a Snow White trilogy.

While the film only recently started filming, fan-favorite actors Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron (The Evil Queen), Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin (Prince Charming), and director Rupert Sanders will be in attendance, as well as other filmmakers, to reveal exclusive footage and answer questions from the audience.

With a Comic Con 2011 crowd hungry for Avengers details, it’ll be hard for Hemsworth to get off the stage without being asked at least one Thor question.

  1. So we get to watch a LOTR type trilogy with Kristin Stewart as Snow White.
Kristin Stewart always looks like she wants it. Idk if I can deal with another franchise like that.

  2. I think this movie sounds great they have a fantastic cast and now that Kristin is with a different cast and a different director she will be able to really act. The cast sounds like they already get along, and with the darker feel to the story I am definitely interested.
