Perhaps 3-D could be sandwiched in if they would use it to portray something unique, like the scenes where the gods are on their plane of existence. That would be very satisfying to me. If you have ever read or seen stories that tried to illustrate extra dimensions by either taking one away or putting a twist in -putting the gods in an extra dimension seems like the best science that got worked into a fantasy in a long time. Then again it probably will be added for the reasons others are saying. It's moot to me anyway, I really can't watch one of these 3-D extravaganzas my brain has a hard time with fake outs...
