Chuck Premiere Date Announced By NBC

3 years ago by Bruce Simmons

chuck 03 Chuck Premiere Date Announced By NBCNBC announced today that Chuck will be returning to the entertainment lineup starting January 10th.

Along with this return date confirmation was the announcement of the many guest stars they’ll have churning through the set of Chuck for the 2010 season.

The guests include Angie Harmon (Law & Order), Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Robert Patrick (The Unit), Kristin Kreuk (Smallville), Armand Assante (Judge Dredd), Steve Austin (WWE Smackdown!) and Vinnie Jones (Snatch).

Returning with Chuck is the usual cast of regulars: Zachary Levi, Adam Baldwin, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Vik Sahay & Scott Krinsky.

The NBC press release stated:

NBC’s action-comedy series Chuck returns to the NBC lineup on Sunday, January 10 with all-new missions and two action-packed, back-to-back original episodes in its season premiere (9-11 p.m. ET) before the series — starring Zachary Levi in the title role — moves to its regular day and time (Mondays 8-9 p.m. ET) beginning January 11.

So Chuck not only comes back on January 10th, but we get the next episode on the very next day.  Sweet.  There was no mention of how many episodes they’re planning to air, but hey, January 10th & 11th is good enough for me right now.

I saw a trailer the other day, which must be for the second season, and there was Scott Bakula, and he said “Oh Boy”! It made me actually want to watch Chuck for the first time.

The Press release also mentioned that Sunday night would be a two episode premier and then a third episode monday night… Talk about a big lead in… shame it is followed by Heroes.

Ok big Chuck fan here but I also really like Heroes… Heros comes on from 8-9pm on Mondays… Does that mean that it is getting a different time slot?

Thanks for that… I guess what I should have said was that Chuck’s normal slot was 7-8pm mondays and so… the question is are they moving heroes which would be big news or was that a type-o and did the report mean 7-8?

I wish they would stop putting these shows in 8p on Monday. There is no way Chuck can compete with House. I can guarantee that if they were to move it back an hour, they would see the ratings go up.

Glad to see that Chuck is coming back in a big way! I’m going to love Mondays with Chuck and “24″. Heroes will be relegated to the DVR. I like the list of guest stars on Chuck and I hope we see Chevy Chase come back!!

“Armand Assante (Judge Dredd)”. Seriously? Not Armand Assante of Mambo Kings, or Private Benjamin, or ER. No, it’s Judge Dredd. That is harsh, man. Why pick Judge Dredd of all things to cite?

    What next?
Brad Pitt (The Mexican), Julia Roberts (Mystic Pizza), Vincent D’Onofrio (The Cell).
