Maybe I’m way off base. . .but is it just me or is there just a tad too much Dark Knight influence floating around comic movies these days? Between the futuristic armor plating of THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA it all seems a little too much like they’re just trying to capitalize on the success of Batman. Bruce needs the armor. He’s mortal. Spider-Man proved that sometimes (SOMEtimes) spandex works on film. It seems producers are too afraid to go out on a limb and design a costume that isn’t a carbon copy of the Dark Knight suit. And before ya’ll crucify me, please go back and read the first five words of this entry. May the stone throwinggggg. . .BEGIN!
No, you are not off base. The costumes I see on Thor and CA are a little fake looking to me. The Dark Knight was a dark movie so the costume works. In the light these costumes look like plastic. Maybe the lighting of these movies will make the costumes look more realistic. I will still go to see these movies but right now the look isnt there for me.
