Chris Evans as Captain America Fan Posters [Updated]

captain america casting soon

Go figure, once Chris Evans got the lead role in The First Avenger: Captain America the fans got right to work. The efforts are beginning to show as fan-made posters are creeping their way online. We’ve got two good new ones for you from Film School Rejects.

As the cast begins to fill out and more rumors begin to circulate, the people are still getting used to their new hero. Ever since his performance in Sunshine, Chris Evans has been a believable actor to me. He’s come quite a ways from Not Another Teen Movie. And if it’s any consolation, you can argue that the questionable Fantastic Four movies were just prep roles for his ultimate hero character.

Anyway, back to the posters. Personally, I like the first one better, but the second one just screams Chris Evans’ on-screen personality. Call me crazy, but it also reminds me a little too much of Hellboy. They are both still extremely professional and I can’t imagine the real posters would look much different. Then again, if Chris Evans comes out looking like that, we better check him for anabolic steroids.

Next up, artwork made two years ago which ironically enough, actually looks like Chris Evans a bit. It was used in a pitch to Marvel for the movie back in 2008.

  1. Flipping retarded. He looks like a gay pronstar in every f'n poster. What a fish face mouth yuppie jaggov. He doesn't look like any version of Capt. America ever, in any comic ever drawn. Hes a clown, screw the Avengers. They're a knockoff Justice League any-damn-way.

  2. what more can we ask for? Really? Maybe someone who looks like they are a soldier and not an underwear model.

  3. Thats cut abd past Photoshop 101 pal.

  4. You're the only one

  5. Gay

  6. If Captain America was supposed to represent hollow superficial looks, no substance in his work, and inflated ego, oh wait that represents America perfect

  7. Iam telling you People it will not work. Chris already did played the Marvel Character Johnny Storm from the FANTASTIC 4 films. He may or may not play Captain America. Because, Marvel Studios said he already played one hero. Let somebody play Captain America. To see who goes next ?

  8. heres some of me Avengers photoshop. its evans-less but its still fun. http://twitpic.com/1bl1ea/full

  9. heres some of me Avengers photoshop. its evans-less but its still fun. http://twitpic.com/1bl1ea/full

  10. The first two posters are sooooo GAY…

  11. These are really good. I can definitely see Evans as Cap even more….now i wanna see them make a poster for Weaving as Red Skull…..is that the supposed costume design?

  12. Even less convinced he the guy now. But great work on the images though.

  13. Wow, he looks a lot like me.

  14. Well,At first i didn't like seeing johnny storm as cap,But the guys at marvel are smart and i'm sure the movie will be great.I know this is off the subject but lets hope deadpool will be awsome..

  15. From wathcing him play roles as the class clown i dont think he would be a good choice to play Captain America. i just think he'll bring the same vibe he gave in the fantatic four just all goofy and the captain needs a serious actor for this movie or it will bomb big time.

  16. cant wait to see the movie

  17. The other three are. That one looks like original artwork to me.

  19. You know, it is a shame that Hollywood lacks for actors and must keep reusing the same few male leads over and over again.
I guess we have to just be glad that they didn't cast Pamela Anderson as Emma Frost.

  20. the second picture looks more like USAgent

  21. You know I think he'll pull it off, but I don't know. He's never really come off as a very compelling personality on screen. But I hope I'm wrong. Honestly Chris Pine really has that all American look to him. I would have been totally sold on that casting, I think being fresh off the heels of star trek he would still be fresh in the minds of movie goers and fanboys alike. I'm still excited about this movie for sure but, I'm gonna' be watching it slightly skeptical. I know it's silly but if he hadn't already played the human torch….

  22. I was kind of iffy about same charactor of two different comic cast, “Fantasitic four's Humen Torch” And now play the Charactor ” Captian America. But when I saw the costom I was covict. It just knowing the same star for to Charactors.

  23. This is a very bad choice. He does not even resemble Steve Rogers.

  24. @sam
Yeah, but Chris Pine looks too much like Chris Hemsworth, and their gonna’ be in the same movie. I think Pine would make an awesome Namor. Can’t you see it?

  25. I think he really Fits with that character!

  26. i don’t even care for captain america but i’m so watching this cuz CHRIS EVANS is so hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. He was a great Human Torch, even though the F4 movies weren’t that great. Captain America though, I’m sorry, but I have extreme doubts about this one. The main problem being he already played The Human Torch. You don’t get the same person to play 2 different characters in the Marvel and/or DC universes, it messes things up. Sam Elliot and Ryan Reynolds playing 2 different roles in the Marvel universe was different. Their characters weren’t major like The Human Torch and Captain America. So Unless he can surprise us the same way Heath Ledger surprised us as The Joker, it’ll be more like a Human Torch movie. Which would be fine if it were supposed to be an F4 movie and not a Captain America movie.

  28. With all due respect, too many people are just not getting it.Captain America is a MASCULINE ideal of the American man.And to portray this we have a pursed-lip male model???People all over the world will be laughing and saying “Yes,this is what the United States has come to.”Too many single moms, raising too many boy children without benefit of a Father, has led to a feminized male populace who regard Chris Evans as an acceptable standard-bearer.I have heard far too many people say “As long as he hits the gym enough,he should be fine.”As though lifting weights for a few hours a day is the measure of a man. This character is supposed to be a hero to World War II Infantry Marines and Airborne Rangers. To them a “six-pack” was something you drank.Obviously,Hollywood is not taking this movie seriously, and neither will most people. You can say what you want about Mark Valley being too old for the part. But I will put his credentials as a West Point grad,Gulf War vet and U.S. Army Officer against Chris Evans’s thin resume any day of the week….I can just imagine how the studio will try to emphasize Chris Evans went through a two week “boot camp” to get ready for the role.Man,this is sad…

  29. HES THE TORCH WTF
