Chelsea Lazkani was a newbie on Selling Sunset season 5, but she became one of the more likable characters in season 6. During her inaugural season, Chelsea primarily served as Christine Quinn’s only ally in an office that had turned entirely against her. The British beauty managed Christine’s emotions and listened with an open ear without meaningfully ruffling any feathers in the Oppenheim Group offices, despite the other realtors’ knowledge of her friendship with their greatest enemy, Christine.

The British-Nigerian luxury realtor joined the Oppenheim Group in 2021 and has over five years of experience in real estate. On Selling Sunset, she claimed to have overseen over $10 million in sales during her first year alone. Her husband, Jeff Lazkani, works in media, and she has two children, Maddox and Melia. Chelsea typically comes across as confident, straightforward, and assertive, which is part of what makes her so likable on Selling Sunset season 6.

Chelsea Is Better Off Without Christine

The obvious reason why Chelsea was able to showcase more of who she really is on Selling Sunset season 6 is the absence of Christine from the Oppenheim Group. Throughout five seasons, Christine managed to ostracize herself from every other realtor in the office, even one of her former best friends, Mary Fitzgerald. When Chelsea joined the realtors, Christine capitalized on the new energy and claimed Chelsea as her ally. With no background on what had happened the past five years, Chelsea took Christine at her word and sided with her.

However, that was the only purpose Chelsea served: Christine’s ally. Viewers didn’t get to know Chelsea meaningfully outside defending Christine to the other realtors. However, Chelsea was able to come into her own on Selling Sunset season 6. She came in hot, defending herself when she co-listed a house and joking about Christine with the other realtors without defaming her friend. It became clear that Chelsea is assertive without being overly aggressive.

Chelsea Exudes Confidence

The overriding theme of Chelsea’s personality in Selling Sunset season 6 is her confidence, allowing her to stick to her convictions. A hallmark of the hit Netflix reality TV series is an abundance of gossip and drama between the glamorous luxury realtors of the Oppenheim Group. However, Chelsea spoke freely throughout the season and defended herself without lying whenever drama came her way. For example, she confronted Mary directly when she felt she was dodging her duties as office manager rather than just gossiping behind her back, and she addressed similar issues with Jason Oppenheim.

Chelsea’s most controversial moments in Selling Sunset season 6 occurred between her and one of Nick Cannon’s many baby mamas, Bre Tiesi. Bre is an aggressor who has many walls up, likely due to the scrutiny in the media of her relationship with Nick, who has become meme-worthy in his fatherly conquests. The entire world makes fun of Nick and questions why these women essentially choose an absent father for their children, but Bre makes all of them more relatable as she’s a real person with feelings. However, Chelsea openly says what most people are thinking, asking who would choose this.

It’s not right to judge other people for their choices; everyone has a different picture of happiness. Amanza Smith made a great point regarding Chelsea and Bre’s blowout, she also got married and had kids with her ex, and now she’s still a single parent. Chrishell Stause is engaged to G Flip, someone who is nonbinary. There’s no right way to have a family or a relationship as long as all parties are happy. All Chelsea did was express that Bre seemed upset that Nick had another baby with a new woman without telling her, something that was public knowledge.

Despite Chelsea’s limited opinion, she didn’t back down, backpedal, or lie about what she said. She’s one of the rare realtors on Selling Sunset who actually sticks to the truth, and she calls out other cast members when they don’t. For example, when Nicole Young claimed that Chelsea and Mary brought up the drug testing or potential defamation suit against Chrishell, Chelsea corrected her by saying she only said that Nicole’s business meeting was long, and Nicole volunteered information about the drug test. Although Nicole claims to be all about the facts, it’s Chelsea who actually does so, and that's what makes her so likable.
