Check Out The New Transformers 2 Trailer

Nope, this isn’t the Superbowl ad, this is the brand new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer that premiered attached to Friday the 13th.

I was not a fan of the first film, not by a longshot, but I guess there’s always hope. Michael Bay has stated that Transformers 2 will be a lot darker than the first one, and personally I welcome that. I hated the stupid humor bits from that film and will be pleased if they’re missing from this one.

One thing I also disliked from the previous film was the insane complexity of the robots and the fact that the shots were so close-in and quick cut that it was hard to tell what the heck was going on. I’m not sure if that has been addressed here, but I have a feeling it’ll be more of the same when it comes to the robot action sequences: Too close-in and too many quick-cuts.

Having said that, I’ll admit this trailer does get my interest up for this film. Check it out:

Saw this during Friday the 13th, all I could help but think was, "Terminator?" and "Did we just see every action scene in the movie?"

I'll go see it, but I just have no idea where this movie is going, or what it's trying to accomplish this time around.

Can't wait. The trailer was pretty sweet, but it used alot of the same footage from the super bowl tease.. Anxious to see a more "plot-driven" trailer.

I must say I didn't dislike it strongly as you, Vic, John Turturro's 'Jar Jar Binks' character not withstanding. Also, the bedroom dialog was the WORST!

I was hoping they wouldn't have Jar Jar in this next one but apparently Turturro signed a multi-picture deal as well.

BTW, the quick editing and extreme close ups during the transformation sequences saves hundreds of thousands of bucks. Seeing how much that movie made I think were gonna see better transformations in this next one.

This newest trailer sure gave that impression! That was great!!

Skorponok may be jumping into the Fallen, it is the fallen hitting the sand surrounded by people in the scene after that.
This trailer looks awesome....I can't wait for the movie!

All it shows is destruction and some nice CGI.. if that's all your keen on then this may suit you.
What I noticed...
Another transformer twisting through the air scene.. and yet another scene where spike is pinned down by a transformer.. mirroring scenes from the 1st transformers much? same sort of trailer as the first.. looks like the action may still have alot of close up and quick shots.. which pretty much angered me during the first film.. I couldn't make out anything that was happening..I doubt this will be as bad though, the first got alot of criticism for that. Anyone else think Demolisher looks just plain stupid?

Well at first I thought transformers was one of the best movies ever,but after watching it again when you know what the action scenes are like, you can easily notice how poor the dialogue and overall plot was. Hopefully this one can fix what was wrong with the first one with a better plot, better dialogue, some more action scenes and more megan fox. :D

and the trailer should tell me that.
also, its almost cut like a horror film.
As if they wanted to make it look scary instead of thrilling.

Well Gary I read an interview with Michael Bay where he said that he wanted to give out as little information as possible over this movie because he hates when you know too much going into the theatre. I guess I could go for this, it would be a nice change from knowing the entire plot just not exactly how they get from A to B, but I'm sure many will be pissed until the movie comes out. But like I said I think it would be a nice change, although I'm sure the final trailer will give out some info, and if you go on imbd or google it you can find out some info over the plot.

In response to Jason, if you pause the clip just after the Audi takes off, you can see three bots, which look alot like motor bikes, the one in the forground is pink, so it's a bit of a giveaway that it is Arcee. Whether she will combine with the other 2, I don't know. And I don't really care either cause it looks good the way it is lol.

I just watched Transformers for the first time since I saw it originally. Watched it in Blu-ray, thinking maybe I've been too hard on it.

I haven't: I still think that overall it sucks. I despise the back and forth between serious action and dumb-assed humor. It was completely incongruous and made it seem like they slammed together two different movies into one.

Jive-talking robots, robots peeing on retarded Federal agents, etc., etc. Painful to watch.

I hope they dump the stupid humor in the sequel, but I doubt it.
