If anyone else was worried that this film will not have the level of action we would expect since the director is fairly new to action, like I was at first… um, nevermind… :-D

Meh, looks like they have gone back to the way over the top action pieces on the new movie. I hope it is better than the trailer looks. Casino Royale had action but I loved the characterization most. The producers of this are fools if they abandoned the tone of the last movie.

Yeah, this is one I am definitely going to see. This looks to easily be as good as, if not better than, Casino Royale. I just hope future movies keep this same direction.

Thank you Doug Linman for making the Bourne films! You indirectly breathed new life into a dying franchise, which is just frakin’ awesome!

Well it’s peeked my interest. I want to know who Bond is talking about losing. Someone within the context of this film or someone from outside. The gal from Royale for example.

This looks like it’s going to be a great addition to the Bond franchise, even if it has a silly name!!

old man, I do believe that he is talking about the girl from Royale.

Yah, this is right after the end of the first one where he’s still going after the people who were behind blackmailing Vesper…

Between The Dark Knight and now the reinvigorated Bond series, I must say it’s refreshing to see characters that were once seen as two-dimensional given something to do with real depth and fleshed out characterization. It’s an exciting time to be a movie fan. Casino Royale took me by surprise, and as a result of this trailer, my “must see” films of 2008 just grew by one - and just when I thought that the Dark Knight was going to be the last one of the year to look forward too!

So, is this like the Bond Supremacy or the Bond Ultimatum, lol.

It looks cool form the action sequences, but im not getting anything from the dialogue, plot or characters.

You mean nothing more than you already know. A world wide organization of evil has emerged and threatens to destabilize the world. That Bond is after someone for revenge. That his life as an agent is in danger. That he finds someone new to protect and get interested in. That there’s plenty of conflict, action, and danger to the story. Um, Rob what more did you want to know man? :) OH wait your being sarcastic, I get it. :D

Trailers typically give away way too much. Read the plot synopsis and watch the trailer, and you’ve seen the movie.

Ok I must say this first. I was never a huge fan of the entire bond series. It was a little too campy for my taste while trying to be serious. Austin Powers? Great slapstick flicks because they were comedies. Bond Series? Not so much because you were expected to view it as serious material. I finally broke down and watched Casino Royale and I must say…….. excellent movie. I just watched the trailer for the latest Bond flick and wow…… this is an excellent reboot for the series and it looks like a franchise I could get hooked on.

Cali, while I agree that the latest Bond style with Casino Royale and Quantum, they are much more engaging, but I think you got it wrong with the old Bond. The whole campy corny thing was actually intentional. Trust me, the makers were not taking themselves completely serious when they made a guy with metal teeth bite through a cable car cable, then continue to a laser gun battle in space…

You know Roger Moore’s’ version of the character was far and away more tongue and check.. er.. cheek than the others. I just chalked it up to his larger body of comedic work. Consider too, some movies are timeless and others are made for their time! Even in a seemingly stable franchise as the Bond films. One suspects that they draw some of the criticism for having too much of a good time when making these things too. ;)

James Bond will never die. The cold war may be over, but there will always be a mission for 007. Sean Connery is and forever will be the best Bond ever. Nobody does it better than him. Roger Moore did a very good Bond in seven films. George Lazenby did good too, even for one Bond film. He should have continued after ONHMSS. Timothy Dalton did alright for two Bond films, and Pierce Brosnan did fine. Daniel Craig did okey in the last flim, Casino Royale, but none of this actors can level up to Sean Connery. I can’t wait till the new James Bond comes to theaters. The difference between Sean and Roger is that Sean would fight his way out and Roger would try to talk his out, if that doesn’t work, than action is called for. It seems that Quantum of Solace has more action than Casino Royale. When Daniel leaves the Bond series, I would love to be the next man to carry a license to kill. As long as there are new Bond books, there will be more Bond films to make and actors to be Bond, James Bond 007.
