We’ve seen plenty of interesting footage including two full trailers for Marvel Studios’ summer kick-off, Thor, but it hasn’t been the same story for that film’s counterpart. Outside of a few sets of images, the Captain America: The First Avenger Super Bowl TV Spot has been the only real glimpse of the movie we’ve gotten.
Ever since then – and now knowing what the film’s hero and villain (The Red Skull) look like in full costume – we’ve been waiting patiently for the first Captain America full theatrical trailer. That day has finally come, as we get a first full look our most anticipated movie of 2011.
The first full Captain America trailer has plenty to offer, such as an expanded look into the origins of Steve Rogers before he became the symbol of hope and freedom for America during WWII, and a deeper look into character and transformation of Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving) into the villainous Red Skull .
While Evans is headlining the pic, the adaptation from page to screen is brought to life and fleshed out by its powerful supporting cast, who will be featured in this trailer.
NOTE: We’ll have the full trailer when it debuts, but in the meantime check out this preview of the preview, courtesy of Entertainment Tonight:
