The battles of Avengers: Age of Ultron may be over, but there's still a war awaiting the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War, which is set to be the second entry from Captain America: The Winter Soldier directing duo Anthony and Joe Russo. Though the name might suggest a standalone movie, Civil War will actually unite many previously seen superheroes (along with some new ones) in an adaptation of the comic book arc about Tony Stark and Steve Rogers taking very different stances on the subject of how people with superpowers should govern and be governed.

Among the relative MCU newcomers set to be featured in the cast of Captain America: Civil War are Frank Grillo's Crossbones, who has gained a special costume (and a proper villain name) since the events of The Winter Soldier, and Wanda Maximoff a.k.a Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who first appeared as one of Ultron's lackies in the most recent MCU team-up.

Scarlet Witch has been seen sporting casual wear in previous set photos from Captain America: Civil War, which is currently filming in Atlanta, but MTV News has some new images of the "weird" Maximoff twin wearing a new jacket and showing off her witchy hand techniques in what appear to be further scenes from the Wakanda set. The photos also show Chris Evans larking about in his Captain America costume, as well as Frank Grillo sporting burn make-up as he walks around without his Crossbones mask.

Scarlet Witch's new color scheme may be her way of denoting that she's now on the side of the good guys (though that label may become complicated in Captain America: Civil War). As long as her powers keep manifesting as tendrils of red light, however, the name should still fit her just fine.

Crossbones first appeared as S.H.I.E.L.D. heavy (and secret Hydra agent) Brock Rumlow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He was last seen being treated for horrible injuries following the destruction of the Triskelion. Grillo and Evans seem to be getting on well enough behind the scenes, but Crossbones has plenty of reasons to hold a grudge against Captain America (and Cap probably isn't fond of him either).

Further set photos posted over at CBM offer a better look at Crossbones' nasty injuries, and also offer the first look at Paul Rudd, who plays the title character of Marvel's upcoming movie Ant-Man, on set as he joins the Civil War production.
