my choice from day one has been Mike Vogel, and i think he's going to be the one who gets it. lots of people say the new choice of chris evans but hes already been human torch, and he isnt blonde. Vogel is blonde and could def bulk up. he showed he has a gung ho leader attitude in cloverfield…till he was killed. and i think he can hang with the likes of downey norton and hemsworth in look and attitude.

Neal Bledsoe looks good. But I don't understand the whole 'the actor needs to be American' thing. If he can do the accent he can have the part. Alexander Skarsgård is picture perfect for Captain America in my mind. He's 6'4, can look young, and he can speak English without a Swedish accent.

Why hinder the brillance of what “Captain America” could be by placing ridiculous limitations on the “should be's” of the actor?

He is a possible fit. I thought the guy who plays a Eric on True Blood, Alex Skarsgard could play Thor. He needs to pack on some muscle, but he is 6'5″, and from Sweden. I thought he had the right look, but they went with Jim Kirk's dad….

Chronologically Cap is older than Stark he was frozen/suspended animation some where around the age of 25 give or take a few years. Stark arguably started being Iron Man around 30 – 35 give or take a few here as well. Given the benefits of the super soldier serum wouldn't you think that he would look younger for longer than a normal person. He may not be at Wolverine level Vitality(over 200 y/o but looks 30ish) but I would stand behind him aging physically only about a years worth in appearance for every 5 years that pass, maybe 5 to 10 depending on how potent the SSSerum could be.

So Cap should look younger than most everyone on the team. People listen to him because he's battle-hardened, confident and competent. He wears these qualities in his facial expressions his battle stances and his voice as well as his old-timer attitute that commands respect. Who wouldn't listen to him. Would you fight a WW2 Veteran that looked younger and fresher than you and could fight Better Harder Stronger and Faster than 5 of the top MMA fighters ever at once??!!! I dont think so. Ha

So to End All… in respects to the movie the actor should look young and bring all those qualities to the screen. And yes he should look younger than Mr. Downey. So please no more old guys as suggestions for Cap. Unrealistic.

I vote for McPartlin to play Cyclops in any serious-adult version of the X-men. He has the height, the look, and if he has the voice for captain america, then he's got the voice for Cyke.

Well - whoever finally gets it - it's got to be quite an advancement for his career.

Hemsworth was initially a surprise since I only really recall his role in star trek. He used to be an actor in the crummy aussie soapie "home and away"

You know what. The only person that I believe could be Cap on the list is Krasinski. He stinks of American Wholesomeness and that is not a bad thing. He was featured on Men's Health a while ago and since Marvel is going for a more "Ultimates" slant, he would be built a lot more like a Special Forces commando than a Juiced up wrestler.
