Captain America: Civil War kicked off the summer movie season and asked audiences all over to choose a side. On the one hand, Team Iron Man featured players such as Black Widow, Black Panther and
Black Guy War Machine. Meanwhile, Team Captain America had heavy-hitters including the Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man. It led to one epic and entertaining brawl that served as one of the highlights of the summer.
With summer having ended, audiences can now look forward to bringing home Civil War on Blu-ray this September. As usual, in addition to deleted scenes and a commentary track, the home release will feature a number of behind the scenes looks at the making of the film. This includes more of the clip featured above, which has Team Cap discussing the members on their side of the fight.
Marvel Studios released this brief clip concerning the making of Team Cap, which features Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Renner discussing what they are bringing to the table. At only a minute long (it’s a small part of a longer feature), you mainly get to watch the cast shine some light on the more humorous side of things. Given all the seriousness seen with these characters, it’s always good to see some smiles.
There is little else to glean from all of this, but one could imagine the equal amount of fun being had on the side of Team Iron Man. Given the bantering between Stark and Rhodes, let alone the addition of Spider-Man and deadpan humor from Vision, it may just mean Black Panther is left to act completely stoic amongst everyone else. That’s not to say Chadwick Boseman is incapable of humor, but another making-of clip would certainly help clear things up.
Of course, it can’t be all fun and games and the Blu-ray’s other special features will certainly delve into the complicated work involved in creating this memorable superhero throw down. That said, there’s nothing like a good set of bloopers to remind you that these are a bunch of people in funny outfits play-fighting with each other.
